Is the homing launcher broken?

Now I rarely make threads but I have to ask, am I the only one who feels the homing launcher is broken?

 

Atleast 5 times just this week im flying around in a jet and I hear the familiar lock on sound- I fly up, doing random maneuvers all while pressing r3 to see if the missile is coming or not (theres a glitch to launch it without the target getting the buzzing sound once its been launched) and out of nowhere, the rear of my jet simply explodes without me even seeing a single sign of a missile, even if im looking backwards and monitoring every square inch of my tv.

 

Now ive known about the no buzzing sound glitch for a while but this? I dont even understand how this even works, you get blown up without any missile actually hitting you. How do you want to evade something you cant see? Ive captured this 2 times on my ps4 and even then I cant seem to find the missile.

I wouldn't say the homing launcher is broken, its more like GTA Online is.

Cant argue with that. There are so many things that are yet to be fixed in this game its ridiculous

Haven't experienced the no-beeping lock-on so I can't comment on that. But, re: whether I think it's overpowered or not, I'd give a big "no." Missiles are cake to evade if you just apply a rudder and ascend or descend sharply. It's definitely doable in a heli, as well. I'm glad I have a less time-intensive counter-measure than the heavy sniper against annoying griefers.

well that it doesn't give a sound afther it has been shot is really annoying. they either failed to shoot the rocket, or i'll explode in 2 sec...

Lol it sure is cool for the guy on the side of the launcher, for people in aircraft not so much. This better be fixed when I get my precious hydra

I thinkings its random, sometimes i see the missle & sometimes just the explosion. Could be the angle missle is coming @ ya. Takes 2 HLM to take out a Vestra freshly spawned. 1st missle deads the engine.

 

Vestra my fav aircraft for flyings, landing, & cutting off engine and gliding especially + different colors...
