What do you guys think about the payout for an Online: Heist?

Our overall goal was to break into a laboratory, steal their data, and get out clean, splitting up $540,000 in the process.

It featured five setup missions and then the heist itself, and from start to finish it took us almost exactly three hours.

It was a simple warm-up mission, but enjoyable nevertheless. I took home $20,520 as my cut – as I would at the end of each setup mission.

135.000 dollars for completing this one spesific heist...

I can't wait for new content, but they should have made the grind a little less grindy...

No, I'm not suggesting that we should earn MILLIONS each Heists.

Take into account the fact that the heist preparation mission will pay around 15k as well, if there are like 4 prep missions for each heist, that's like 60k for the prep missions.
Sounds good for me.

If that's true...

God f*cking damn it. Way too low.

I hope the other heists have better payouts.

Honestly, that's double what I thought any of them would pay already...did anyone really think they'd make great money off these things?

Honestly fine for me. The heists seem very much like Destiny's Raids, which were one of the most fun things in the game.I think just playing them, and replaying and earning some more will be fun.

If you thought you were going to make Millions, that's honestly stupid.

I'm pretty sure they do, yep. One of the planning boards in the Heists trailer showed the cuts being split up as $500k for the host, and $100k for everyone else. So there must be a $800k+ one.

The payouts probably become higher for each new heist you unlock.

That's if the heist leader hands out equal cuts - unlikely as they will have shelled out $60K in set up costs as well as missed out on the approx $100K from the prep missions.

The trailer shows one cut at 55/15/15/15, so that would be $81K for each crew member and $297K for the leader. Take out set-up costs and add prep mission cash and the full payout for full completion looks something like $237K/$181K/$181K/$181K.

Over three hours, that's a significantly lower pay rate than, say, contact missions, which could easily pull down $240K-$300K in the same period.

So, heists are not money grinders per se - might have to just do them for the fun of it.

Ok, i was unaware that a Heist would take 3 hours to complete, and if there is 4 people each taking home 135,000 as you mentioned, then it is not that great of a payout, however i'm sure they will be incredibly fun and come Tuesday everyone will be able to try them for themselves.

I think 3 hours is probably significantly longer than most heists will take most players. Just a guess, we'll find out for sure soon enough, but that seems like an awfully long time compared to even the longest missions in GTA:O. You could run The Los Santos Connection 12 times in that amount of time.

atleast you're guaranteed something.

First time I did the Vault Of Glass in Destiny, it took nearly 5 hours, finished around Midnight EST, and all I got was a Armor Shader (paint essentially) and a Ship that's just used in loading screens.

You don't need 3 hours for conplete a heist it will take around 1-2 Hours, they needed 3 because they failed often and wasn't playing very good.

But i don't really care about the money. Mostly i'm playing it because the the epic gameplay and fun :)

Exactly. You guys have to understand that the 3 hours was the time it took for the IGN noobs to complete the heist. For regular players it would be probably like 2h and for good players about 1,5h or less, what will probably translate into similar payout/hour as grinding missions, maybe even more.

Well at least the payout isnt on a timer. which means if they adjust the payouts to be sensible they might be worth playing more than once.

I still think even at two hours long the chance of four players staying connected to reach other for the entire heist is extremely low.
