Why won't police pull you over for speeding or any other traffic v

Considering how painfully easy it is to get a wanted level, and how long it takes to get rid of even a one star level, would you really want that crap?

So what? When cops pull you over you pull off let them chase you or when they ask for your license and registration you pull off let them chase you or when they approach you then you shoot them. Ill bet you lots of people would get a kick out of this because in Real life you cant shoot cops for pulling you over.

I swear, the obsession to make the series feel more real, look more real, and play more real is f*ckin ruining the fun out of it.

Games like Mafia make sense but GTA is all about breaking the rules.

And in the first one City Of Lost Heaven. Hell you even get wanted just for pulling out a gun and you don't target. Very realistic (not sarcastic).

No I wouldn't want to receive a wanted level for speeding (Maybe as a mod just to see if you are patient), I don't think R* will take it to that level.

So?

Mafia is a masterpiece thats meant to give you a different kind of experience than GTA. A more realistic portrayal of the crime and life in the city.

It can't be taken as a con ( or negative thing ) rather it does that brilliantly I have ever experienced in a video game.

Tht wud make it more harder than u think but in GTA IV i remember the cops making a high pitched siren for a second when I sped past a red light at high speed when the cop was kinda near me..but he wont fillow but yea for gameplay purpose they did tht or else it wud be boring and a pain in the ass to stay in a light just to prevent cops

It was a pain in the ass in Mafia II and it's gonna be a bigger pain in GTA V. Why do people enjoy these? This and having to refuel cars. Why? It is f*cking annoying in real life so why in the holy mother of all that is f*cking holy would you want it in a video game!? Are you f*cking masochists or something!?

Depending on if I'm in a RP mode, yes, I would want it.

Best case scenario would be to include it as an option: 'Traffic violations - on/off'

In fact, I'd like nothing more than a complete overhaul of police behaviour in this game. Give us a simulation mode, where cops pull you for speeding and running red lights, but at the same time, never open fire unless you do first (or give them reason to suspect you're about to). I find it a complete immersion killer to have cops empty their weapons into you just because you jacked a parked car in their vicinity.

^ Oh boy! And how about the cops try and stop us for littering? Maybe have the famous hunger feature return, and add fuel?

Being realistic for the sake of it isn't always that fun, you know. I'd prefer to have R* divert those resources into something that's actually fun.

Because it would suck the fun and life out of this game in seconds. Cops are already kind of over-aggressive, this would make the game unbearable.

^ For once, I agree with you. Why the hell would someone want GTA to replicate some of life's most inconvenient things? Even if it was optional, wouldn't it be more ideal if those resources were diverted into more fun areas like side missions and minigames?

Because you don't have a speedometer on last gen or any previous installments and this game is not meant to be realistic. I mean really if you kill someone and go change the color of your car the cops aren't going to stop looking for you so there's that and tons of other instances

I ran though red lights when cops are there speed down the highway saw cops trapping even saw a motorcycle cop with radar gun. But when you assault, shoot or rob people then they come after you. Go figure.

Is there really a cop with a radar gun? I saw a cop near Franklins LSC standing next to his motorbike who looks like he's aiming one out at the road, but on closer inspection it's just a mobile phone made to look like he's aiming a radar gun checking speeds...better then nothing though, Is this what you saw or is there something I've missed?

what a troll...

i suppose you would want to get out of your car and exchange insurance information when you get into an accident. or have to appear in traffic court when you get a speeding ticket. realism, a surefire way to take the fun out of the gta series.

Prodigalsunz

I wouldn't mind being able to pay a ticket/bribe when on 1 or 2 star wanted level.

So instead of trying to lose the cops, you would have the option to pull over, pay the bribe and be on your happy way.

It would be annoying if it happened to often, and doing what this troll of a poster suggested would be too much and too often. I remember playing Mafia after III and Vice City.. of course, not being used to following rules I'd be stopped 4-5 times on a single mission due to some small traffic violation like speeding or running red light.

Somehow, that thing actually worked well for Mafia.. but Mafia is something different, completely story driven and it's free roam is completely uninteresting while in GTA it's all about that great fun free roam element.

Maybe if the cops couldn't catch up with a high powered sports car, and getting rid of wanted levels didnt last ten whole minutes then maybe this wouldve been a good idea. And Realism is ok within bounds, like with IV & V, but then they really went over-board with realism with the internet & TV, when those resources could've went to better things (Flamethrower cough!)

I highly doubt the reason we haven't got a flamethrower is because of the internet and TV.
