First person vs Third

I'm curious how many of you use First person mode in online play? I use first person in story mode and love it, but feel I might be at a disadvantage in online play due to the greater field of view in third person. I haven't played much online, but I think I may get into it soon and I need to get a feel for which camera mode is best for pvp.

I think First Person is better, but Third Person give you a better view of your surroundings.

Third person is best for PVP without a shadow of a doubt, driving too. I just use first person to increase immersion from time to time.

First for immersion.

 

Third for competition.

PvP third person rules, but if the other player is also using first person there's no problem.

The 1st person on this game is wanky and jumpy so i prefer using 3rd for a majority of the time. + i like seeing my character

3rd is god, plus i like to see my character, if i wanted 1st i'd play COD.

The only time I willingly use 1st person view is when I'm using the guns on my Buzzard, Annihilator, or Lazer.

 

I hate when people force 1st person for co-op missions. PvP is fine, a level playing field is a level playing field, but for non-competitive modes, you're just being a prick.

I use first person on foot, 3rd in cover and in vehicles. I don't feel like using 1st on foot significantly disadvantages me, and at times I think it's a small advantage because my camera view is a little closer to people I'm looking to shoot. There is the minor possibility of someone ending up behind me, close enough that I'd see them in 3rd person - but I pay enough attention to my minimap and activity feed (for off-radar people) that this basically never happens.

This isn't a console limitation, it's a GTAO limitation. This would make first person more viable.

I prefer 3rd, but love 1st camera locked deathmatches with forced weapons and pick ups, it makes them more intense.

 

But PvP 3rd vs 1st will almost always give the person in 3rd the victory

3rd person all the way. Used 1st person for sniping because you move quicker but then i discovered the FPS2 config and haven't looked back.

First person. The whole running in circles when all you want to do is step sideways a foot drove me f*cking nuts. I'm so glad I have first person now.

 

Of course third person cover and driving.

 

Also clicking the stick to run instead if tapping X has some great benefits like sprinting with the phone and weapon selection up.

first person = less recoil , allow players see the vehicle's interior ( except tank ) , aim down sight/scope and more agility ( allowing dodging bullets easier , especially aganist sniper or free aim )

third person = camera can be turn on almost any direction without having character turn around , wider view , cover system easier , etc

I'm not saying it makes it better but I love that in first person you can just hold (A) to run fast instead of tapping it repeatedly ... Flying is one of the only reasons why I switch back to third person

I have it most of the time, third person for deathmatch, driving cars, flying and cover though.

 

I said at first I will not use it, but love it and even better I can use it riding my bikes.

I'll use both depending in what I feel like playing, but third gives you a bigger advantage without a doubt.

 

I always use first person for when I'm running certain distances, since you only need to hold the sprint button, instead of repeatedly tapping.
