What could the potential price and release date be for the SP DLC?

Recommended Posts

But more importantly the price and whether if the SP DLC transfers to next gen from last gen? Once again, this is speculation so inb4 "how should we know" or "its not out yet". If this has been asked and has a recently "up to date" answer, then please redirect me. I want to buy my last ever psn card for the PS3, perhaps tomorrow and I have yet to pick out which value card i would get.

The value i wish to get depends on whether:

1. If you buy last gen SP DLC, if you can get the next gen DLC for free, when you upgrade.

2. How much the DLC could cost.

I mean, i dont want to potentially pay twice for both the NG game and NG SP DLC. Opinions? Have you guys heard of any new news relating to the SP DLC?

Would not be surprised if they charged the same price as a full game.

I wouldn't go quite that far, but depending on what the DLC contains, GTA fans are going to want it... badly. So do the maths.

What I'm saying is that Rockstar will be able to charge whatever they want, and know that it will still sell bucket loads.

lmao idk buts its going to be expensive since they obviously have so much more sh*t to add since they went weak on the original game

Oh ok, so about 50$/50? Hmmm, how much did the episodes of liberty city cost when it first came out? I bought the episodes but i dont remember the price. Maybe its similar price as that?

Thing is, if the DLC is mainly just another story episode with a series of missions to complete, I'm not sure I'm that interested.

It's additional map areas, activities and actual content (more vehicles, etc) I want. In other words, things that will boost and enhance the freeroam aspects.

Oh okay, what do you think about the transferring of the bought SP DLC from LG to NG? Or do you think theyre going to force us to buy it again? Or, i mean i dont even know how the psn works for PS4....since ps4 usrs have to pay already a subscription, would they get the dlc for free anyways?

There's so much they need to do in the future.

  • interiors that are accessible outside of missions. Im talking about you, Whiskey a go go
  • adding the ability to play arcade games
  • adding the abiliity to eat, or atleast go inside a burger shot/ up-n-atom burger
  • adding the ability to own pets (animals are already in the game, and so is an inaccessible pet store)
  • adding stand up comedy for the comedy store on sunset strip
  • more clothing stores. I mean seriously, rodeo drive?
  • more gang activity
  • at least one more strip club
  • ability to play pool
  • adding actual mansion interiors for beverly/hollywood hills
  • oh and that BIG PROTRUDING THING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CITY. you know, that building that was shown in the previews years before the game was even released... the building thats been under construction since the game has been out. That has to be turned into something. I just don't see why else they would have a giant construction site taking up a decent portion of DTLA.

Most of these things should be added for MP since it would make more sense. Oh and Im not complaining about anything here.

As long as the DLC lives up to our expectations, I don't mind paying a few extra bucks.

$20-30 probably. At least when R* makes DLC it's not a half assed effort, it's always worth it, eg:- EFLC episodes.

I doubt they'll allow transfers, but they might.

The most that I could ever want to pay is $30.

Why? Everyone will buy it. Rockstar will make 10 times their money back and leave us high and dry yet again. I just hope that I get to play Qube3D again. (I threw out GTA IV when I got V. What a f*cking idiot.)

Why do some people assume that sh*t should be free? And if you have GTA 5 on last gen you shouldn't expect free sh*t when upgrading to current. If I buy a 2015 Chevy should I expect to upgrade for free when the 2016 models come out? Christ sakes.

The idea that it is free comes from the fact that people were disappointed in R*. It is also conceptualised from the the amount of free sh*t that R* already gave us. Beginning with Beach Bum.

The release date will be this summer, and the price will be $10-$20(probably $15).

What did you learn from the DLC for Grand Theft Auto IV and Red Dead Redemption?

Dan Houser: The two key lessons we learned were that if you want a vibrant multiplayer community, you have got to provide content frequently and fairly quickly after release, which we tried to do with Red Dead.

And I think the two GTA episodes, from a creative standpoint, were absolutely fantastic. We are very, very, very proud of them. And we are kind of compelled due to various other business factors to make them that size -- but something at $20 for DLC, maybe $10 is a more exciting price point.
