What is your favorite sniper rifle?

Personally I still like the Heavy Sniper best.

 

The regular sniper has a silencer, but I find they have little effect in ai on this game anyway, and the only time I'm after players is for a bounty. Combine with it's weak power and it's not for me.

 

It's pretty sweet you can move around with the Marksman, but this one has no advanced scoop (on PS3 anyway) and it's accuracy seems looser then the other snipers, making the burst fire not really of any advantage.

 

I enjoy the good old Heavy Sniper best. Best stopping power even at long range, accurate, just all around a great gun and best one for mission purposes.

I've been using the standard sniper rifle a lot more than the heavy lately. Granted, almost all I use it for is contact missions on hard. A headshot is still a headshot, a body shot by a Heavy Sniper usually doesn't lead to a death for me especially against Merryweather guards (and even then most misses are usually to the side of their head), plus the standard sniper holds more bullets so less reloading.

Marksman rifle is op. Its low recoil, high accuracy and rate of fire makes it a beast in mid range combat.

 

Heavy sniper for long range though

Heavy sniper without a doubt. I've seen people do well with a marksman rifle but I haven't used mine too much. What's the point of a silencer when everyone sees your blip on the radar, I only use that sniper against npcs

Basic sniper rifle. Bolt action, several rounds in a magazine, and the feeling that a well-placed shot can make a difference. Even a high rank, I like using the basic weapons.

Marksman is for people who can't aim, and want to stafe, its become as bad as A.Shotgun. but thats for another topic, not this,

but still, id rather have what is the best on the map, though if best on map is Hunting, so be it, more than happy to ^-^,

but heavy is the #1, besides i have LSPD on it, on my 2nd character

I honestly hate the Marksman Rifle with a passion. I don't usually rage when I'm playing, but if somebody manages to kill me using it, that gets me pissed right the f*ck off. I usually kill them with my heavy sniper while they're going right to left like a retard trying to hit me anyway, so it's all good.

 

The normal sniper is good, but I only ever use it now if I'm in a hurry to snipe somebody, and that's the first sniper to pop up.

Yea, when it comes to the Marksman, the person is either so terrible they're spraying & praying, or a pro. It's annoying as sh*t either way.

Not a simulator, never was. Note the lack of travel time for bullets and the fact that we don't bleed out from thigh wounds. Plus do you have any idea how difficult it is to use a chainsaw as a melee weapon IRL?

 

OT, Heavy Sniper - does the pink mist nicely and is a great anti-vehicle weapon.

No man, I don't want to 1v1 it's the last thing I need in my life. I didn't even want to get in the fight I got in when I came across a pro Marksman user. I just didn't want to go passive so I took the abuse for a while. I think he got me 12-0 in the end!. I was on my low lever character so I didn't have a heavy sniper or anything like that (no helmet either) but I did have a normal sniper (wasn't enough). I'm not on ps3, you can't even walk with a sniper on ps3 can you?.
