Rumor: Rockstar developing “monumental” GTA V story content

Recommended Posts

I can imagine it'll actually be nothing more than just a few random encounters for them and one new gun.

And the Karin Snipe?

I'm dreading the SP DLC myself. Switching focus to their production seems like another excuse to not release monthly-ish content again.

are you f*cken serious.

My god

If everyone's expecting 2 new car horns and a new knife with 14 slightly longer random events, then everyone will have their expectations surpassed.

Thinking it won't be quite big, is super pessimistic but also helpful.

I don't care about heists. I hope the DLC is set in North Yankton that place reminds me of Fargo i want to explore that map.

N. Yankton is a small town. Fargo is a major city. They don't compare. I know because I live an hour away from Fargo.

No, Ludendorff is the town. North Yankton is the state.

If that happens I will put a toothpick under my big toenail and kick a wall.Ouch! I would not have said that if I were you. It would be pretty f*cking stupid for R* to do that though. There is about a 04% chance they would do something like that.

And the Karin Snipe? That joke is sooo 2013! Gosh! Ugh.

Good point Cox. It also doesnt say anything on the newswire about R* making any more games ever again so I guess that isnt happening either.

well sounds kinda interesting, but i haven't even played the game yet or pre-ordered it.

extra missions wouldn't be that interesting, they could've just cut them from the game only to re-sell back as dlc.

it's been done by so many other dev/pubs.

however, if it was say an extra location / smaller island (because a whole new big island would be asking for too much) say something like north yankton expanded with a proper town etc, that would be interesting.

I sure hope that R* is using all this time that they have to make this DLC better than TLAD or TBOGT. If, after over a year, it's on the same scale as RDR's Undead Nightmare, I won't be happy. At all.

Shadowfennekin

I hope there are only a few S/F missions this time if any. Rather have bigger missions.

And a Franklin dies ending is for sure needed. Only fair he can die.

I simply don't understand how Rockstar are able to simultaneously keep Online updated, develop the Heists & create a sizable story dlc. All this without poaching manpower from the other Rockstar studios who I hope are hard at work creating their own next-gen masterpieces. Unless they had a massive recruitment drive over the last couple of years.

They have an internal studio working only on GTA Online.

I think the gang wars theme was under-explored to non-existent in V, It would make sense for R* to leave this for a DLC instead of put it in the main game with alot of other themes already. So here's hoping that sense is right. I don't expect another EfLC, but I reckon they've got some good plans. 5 years of making a HD version of San Andreas for only one game would really be under-utilizing the place, they know they would make big bucks from DLCs with added missions and story extensions etc.

You think they're gonna say, "yeah it's kinda small, our dev team is lazy, definitely won't be worth the money, but buy it anyway"

Rockstar doesn't half-a** their dlc's for their games...so i have not much to worry about

The mandatory DLC's for this game so far have been kind of half-assed. But they're free. But they're required updates that also contain bug-fixes. I dunno, it's better to keep expectations low, if it's the most awesome sh*t ever, cool, it will be a pleasant surprise. Their track record over the last few years though makes me a bit circumspect.

A monumental DLC.

Michael trades stocks for five hours.

Franklin irons his clothes for ten hours.

Trevor walks around with Patricia for fifteen hours.

But no, on a serious note, this is what I think about the DLC and the future of V in a nutshell:

I have to say I'm with you on this. I aint getting hyped or gassed up for sh*t, until I see something that pleasantly surprises me. The amount of disappointments I've had with V have really made me learn the hard way not to get too excited about anything new that involves GTA. There was once a time I knew anything new that was GTA would be pure gold. Not so anymore.
