Random flashes of light when riding motorbikes.

Recommended Posts

I don't know if this only occurs in first-person mode, but whenever I'm riding a motorbike I'll see a single flash of light every few minutes or so. It's a bit like a soft flash of lightning, but it happens even when the weather is fine.

Has anyone else noticed this or know what it is?

I'm wondering if it's supposed to be the sun reflecting on my helmet visor, but it happens when I'm stationary at traffic lights.

What kind of flashing is it? Does the entire screen brighten, or is it consistent with in-game objects?

Its the whole screen... like a flash of lighting, only not as bright or prolonged. It's very weird.

Another way to describe is to say it's like a speed camera going off as you pass it. You're aware of the flash, but can't quite place where it came from.

It's possibly a problem with you cable, try putting it in a different input slot on your TV, unplugging it and plugging it firmly in your console, and maybe switching cables or trying it on another display if possible.

I'd agree that this was a possibility, RedDagger, if it happened all the time, but it's only when I'm on motorbikes. I play only in first-person and I'm on PS4, by the way.

It's not really a problem, I'd just love to know what it is.

Woops, missed that bit :p

Might be worth seeing what happens on motorbikes in third person, and wearing a helmet without riding a motorcycle (I think you can do that). See if it's helmets, motorcycles, or neither.

Yeah, I might give that a go.

I can only imagine it's some form of weird glitchy type thing on my copy, otherwise I'm sure people would have posted to say that they've noticed it too. I've watched a few youtube clips of first-person motorbike gameplay and didn't spot it on any of them.

Anyway, thanks for you time :)
