Heist Van: What should I chose?

Recommended Posts

The best option is probably a Speedo, because it is generic.Or a black sedan for speed but less protection.

To the people that say bring 2 door supercars and a 6x6 Mercedes. How are you supposed to be stealthy?Imagine seeing four Veneno parked out front of a bank.Turns out they belong to a bunch of soon to be robbers.

Ya cause the overpowered AI POPO wont recognize you in a Dinka :panic:

Only a low level peasant noob would use a van for a heist

High ranking Millionaire Vets will use these,,,,,

So says the peasant, with it's normal gameplay options.

OT: Fully modded Speedo.

Depends on whether or not you want a true 'van', just something in the Vans class - the Bison's technically the best performer fully-upgraded (and has room for 6 - that's a full heist team and spare for passengers), but it's also not a proper 'van' (it's a pickup truck, in the Vans class for some odd reason).

The Youga is the best actual van in terms of fully-upgraded performance, but only carries 2 people - the Paradise is just behind it, and carries 4. Minivan's slower still, and is marginally more exposed, but it's still reasonably doable - everything else in the class is pretty stodgy after that.

Worth a look, for more info:

I dont get why you all looking for heist van. We all know that r* going to give us other vehicles to make the job

Not for everything - we've already got screenshots of player characters using personal vehicles, and, like with single-player, many of the sub-missions are basically 'drive to location X, steal equipment/vehicle Y' (for example, you've got to go to Grapeseed and steal a Vagos Velum for one, and in another, steal the armoured Kuruma). Odds are we'll just be using regular PVs to get to those objectives - once we've obtained the heist-specific vehicles, those become available planning board options for the final score.

Broughys van testing is not complete as he used stock vans for speedo rumpo and burrito when they can be modded (not entirely legitly but still)

I've tested them all fully modified, both over 1000 meters and around a track (I made "Cutting corners for vans" to test them on). Very little to no difference between them performance wise once fully modded (the plain / weasel Rumpo is slower as only the turbo sticks). The Burrito has the smallest back windows so imho it's the best van. Around Cutting corners you might squeeze half a second better time out of the Speedo but meh, For me I prefer the Burrito. The Deludamol only seats two but again is very fast as is the Paradise (its nothing but a full mod livery Rumpo). I don't know how many vans I have but somewhere around 20 and at least one of each van avaliable online in it's fully modded form. But I'm quite confident in saying the Burrito is the best overall van in the game.

For everyone saying to use a sedan instead, there's two important advantages that a van has. The first is that it has much more cover than nearly all of the sedans, assuming that the rear doors don't get knocked or shot off. The other is that players can shoot assault rifles out the back.
