Heist Van: What should I chose?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, since we know that Heists are actually coming out soon and with a release date in sight, I wanted to get in the spirit of robbing virtual stuff and get a Van for heists. I was going to use the iFruit and Charles method to mod the vans (exception being the Paradise and Minivan) I'm asking you guys which 4-seater van I should pick. I would go with the Speedo or Paradise, but the Speedo is uber rare and the Paradise has the livery. I would go with the Rumpo but the performance mods don't stick (I did hear that one guy got it to work though), or maybe the Burrito for the A-Team theme. I might even go with the Minivan because "We need to stop for snacks at the 24/7 after we rob this bank". I'm wondering which I should spend my money on. Any *serious* ideas?

Speedo Van Master Race.

If we are allowed to use PVs which is HIGHly unlikely.

My guess is, some of that money that the Heist Leader puts upfront goes towards "Supplies" for performing the Heist, one of which being a Vehicle and having a certain budget to stay within for the vehicle and/or modifications you can do.

Hopefully we can useful own PV vehicles though, I got some sweet 4Dr vehicles on the ready.

I've never really owned any of the vans due to the lack of customization but I'd recommend the Speedo since it's the fastest but for style I'd recommend the Youga, however since it's practicality and speed you're after I wouldn't get it since it only seats 2 for some stupid reason.

Didnt knew that speedo was rare, i have one stock black if you are on PSN (PS4) we can use it to spawn others.

Which one of all them is the largest? I know they are almost the same size but is there one which is slightly taller/wider?

Depends on whether or not you want a true 'van', just something in the Vans class - the Bison's technically the best performer fully-upgraded (and has room for 6 - that's a full heist team and spare for passengers), but it's also not a proper 'van' (it's a pickup truck, in the Vans class for some odd reason).

The Youga is the best actual van in terms of fully-upgraded performance, but only carries 2 people - the Paradise is just behind it, and carries 4. Minivan's slower still, and is marginally more exposed, but it's still reasonably doable - everything else in the class is pretty stodgy after that.

Worth a look, for more info:

I dont get why you all looking for heist van. We all know that r* going to give us other vehicles to make the job

Not for everything - we've already got screenshots of player characters using personal vehicles, and, like with single-player, many of the sub-missions are basically 'drive to location X, steal equipment/vehicle Y' (for example, you've got to go to Grapeseed and steal a Vagos Velum for one, and in another, steal the armoured Kuruma). Odds are we'll just be using regular PVs to get to those objectives - once we've obtained the heist-specific vehicles, those become available planning board options for the final score.

Well buddy, I said I wanted to probably get in the theme for heists. While it's unlikely R* is going to do something logical for a while and let us use PVs, I just wanted to get people's opinions on this.

Not this one...

What makes people think they're gonna need a van? Or a sedan?

I'm gonna ride my Akuma.

I can see four people in one car needing to go to four different places. Or all dieing in one boom.

To carry all the money and gold bars.

But you can do on an awesome orange or chrome zantorno for sure.

Jokes apart, i guess the best will be a 4 seater sedan.. Oracle i.e.

Have a guess.

The Speedo is faster (acceleration-wise; unsure about top speed) and has slightly better handling and braking, although the front windshield and rear windows are larger than the Burrito's so they leave you and your crew more exposed to enemy gunfire. The front seats in the Speedo seem to be raised higher, too, also leaving you more exposed.

The Burrito is slightly slower with slightly worse handling and braking, but not by much. The front windshield and rear windows are pretty small, so that's a plus.

I'd say the Speedo since it's 100% able to be fully customized via Charles + iFruit. Not sure if bulletproof tires and armor stick on the Burrito, although I know window tints, custom rims and custom tires do.

Not sure you have your thinking cap or glasses on.

What if yall need to go to different locations?

Or all get killed in one shot cause your rolling in the same car?

I will stick to my Akuma. It's faster, more agile, and able to get to more places than any sedan or van.

Performance mods and armor and such stick on the burrito, but you can't drive it into LSC so no insurance without glitching.

Riot Van is best van

hi there. owning 6 vans myself, and owned every storable van ingame in my gta career.

the vapid speedo is my personal fafo. the van offcourse isn't a sports car so don't expect any fast speeds. but the van handels pretty good, and for a van it has a decent topspeed. it drifts great and it's a good getaway vehicle. seats 4 players of which 2 can shoot out of the back with rifles and MG's. the speedo can't be customized though, but if you found your ways around it you'll only be able to get the stock thinking like respray, plate, windows, armor and preformance.

then the Rumpo. it's a fun van to drive, but not as fun to drive as the speedo imo. what does make this van special are the liveries, Weazel news and Deludamol. these livery versions are stoeable. they can't be modified but if you find your ways around it you'll get the same case as the speedo. basic upgrades, i heard that preformance mods won't stick though, which makes it a lot slower. seats 4 of which 2 can shoot out of the back with rifles and MG's.

the burrito is a great van, what i like is the look of it and the drifting. it does drift comfortable. the van looks cool and has a fasionable red Burrito logo on the back which looks great. when you open the back doors you will discover a nice interior made of wood. just like the other vans named so far it seats 4 of which 2 can shoot out if the back with rifles and MG's. has variavle versions like the Atomic livery, the Sprunk Livery and more. only the plain version can be stored though. it has no mods, unless you find your ways around it . apart from wheels, preformance, plate, etc you won't find anything special.

the paradise is the only 4 seating van which can be modified. but instead of a badass van in black you'll have to use 1 of 4 liveries. liveries like an octopus, a lumberjack, a shark, and 1 more. allthough you can make this look great with the right wheels and wheel color. you can upgrade it in a legit way. together with the upgrades you can shoot out of the back with MG's and rifles. good choice, used to be free but costs 25.000 if i'm correct on SSSA.

the BF surfer is a van with style! great for car meets or slow cruises close to the beach. but it's slow as hell and some people can't handle that! no special mods if i remembers correctly. sadly it only seats 2!

then last the youga, can be modified in many ways, and good looking. the modifications can change the looks from street racer with the top, to a robbery van with the panels. no need to find it as it can be bought for 15.000 on SSSA. what the downside is is that it only seats 2 and you can't shoot out of the back... also it's quite slow compared to the speedo.

conclusion

if you want a customizable good looking one. take the youga

want a fast one? stealth looking? find a speedo, rare to find but a spawn can be triggered driving a speedo to the spawn. if anyone on ps3 needs one PM me and i'll help you :)

ooh, and i'm not counting the bison as a van.

(sorry for typo's, i'm on my phone)
