A question on your tactics on muggers

Recommended Posts

Ok, so recently , ive been going after punk running they mouths on mics in free lobbys, well just because they think they so bad A and if nothing more, id like to just piss em off. i have had numerous muggers get quite a bit of money from some of these punks. Im curious , does anyone here have any special ways they go about sending a mugger and getting the money from the mugger? My best turn outs have been, highlight the idiot talking , get within a couple blocks of him, send mugger, when mugger kills him , move in , take out mugger ,collect 10 Gs ..... anyone else have better ways about this ? just wondering

I often use the mugger when faced with a standoff where another player and myself are in cover and neither is willing to break it.

Also, if you suspect someone may send a mugger after you, then if there's a player in a flying vehicle or boat then send a mugger after them. No-one can call another mugger until yours gives up, and that can be quite some time.

I usually send a mugger if someone is trying to reverse kill me. I quickly get into a tight spot, fire off a few rounds here and there to keep them sitting there. I'll call the mugger up, he'll pull them out of the car, and shotgun blast to both of them.

Tanks

Keep the driver focused on you, call mugger, laugh when mugger drives off in tank.

A couple of nights ago I did this but killed theugger and player when the mugger drug him out of the tank and then spawn killed the t*t with his own tank

Good times 😀

Fun to do occasionally if someone is trying to snipe me and thier out in the open I'll call a mugger. Once they get knocked down I shoot them while thier caught in the animation. Some players with mics go from surprised to angry really quick

I call up the mugger to troll my friends sometimes, but the trick only works once. I drive to the airport parking lot and tell them to look north towards the trees. I try to describe something about the third tree to the right while I call up the mugger. The mugger shows up, stabs them, and they fall off the edge of the parking garage and die. Its classic.

I used to call muggers from my house and watch the certain victim on my tv from my high-rise apartment, doesn't work most of the time but when it does it's pretty hilarious

I occasionally use muggers and have come across a problem more often than I'd like.

When you're selecting the player to mug, someone joins or leaves the lobby and the list changes - just as you press X, so you send him to the wrong player,

~ very useful if enemy is on mountain ( falls to death , either slowly or quick ) or perched on roof ( either distraction or falls to death )

~ stopping your prey from attacking/running while they're guard down , this makes them open to attacked . this even useful when they're facing multiple enemies then get knocked down

~ even though a mugger is glitched ( they spawned but just standing there ) , the shoving effect is still on and if player makes contact with it ( even by pistol-whip them ) , they still fall to the ground and their handed cash is taken

~ the mugger is relentless when attempting mugging the player ( even if they're in tank or holding dangerous weapon ) , they even able to pilot aircraft or tank if that player is reckless

~ a mugger can have any gender or peds model ( depend the environment , although they're commonly in professional's model ) , making them able to blend in the crowds . however this still able identified because they're holding a knife ( yet , they not use it to stab the player , rather shoves them and takes their handed cash ) . in addition , if player in gang turf , oddly they will have gang model too , even though lamar is member of CGF

~ a slow vehicle is also effective for mugger's victim ( or slow take-off plane )

ArmorKingHunter

~If a player tries the old face the back of his car to me while firing game then i get my car, blow him up and just as he respawns and my mugger floors him I pull up beside them, hop out my car and unleash a volley of kicks till they die

~idle players who drop cash after dying

~stalemates, if im chasing a kill from them

~players that just claimed a bounty

~if im in a survival or mission with idle/lazy players then I wont hesitate to kill them and mug all or some of the cash they just 'earned' afterwards ;)

Used to troll friends with a mugger. However we've all kinda called a truce on trolling one another. Often times it becomes not so funny when you found a rare car and you get ripped out and its stolen or some other scenario.

In a public lobby if someone names pops up in the kill feed as killing a lot. I'll send them a present or two. Mugger, Bounty, and maybe MW.

I like to Snipe some of these people, when they are focusing on trying to snipe me around the pillar the mugger goes and robs them, then you snipe them and hear them cry over the mic. lol

I saved a clip of me doing that. I was on a low rooftop and another guy was around the corner of a building, trying to snipe me. I sent the mugger who knocked him down into the wide open, giving me an easy kill. Another time I was on that inverted-V roof across from the Burton LSC, and a guy was on the second level of that complex (where "Holed Up - Burton" is), waiting to get a shot on me. I sent the mugger who knocked him off the ledge he was standing on; he faceplanted into the pavement and again I got a really easy kill. People seldom expect it, and it's so funny.

Apart from that, I don't use muggers much. The only time I use them in an attempt to actually make money is when a decently high-ranked player is AFK. Once I was in a public lobby with only one other guy, and when I drove over to find him, he was just standing there. I mugged him and got ten grand. Repeated twice more as soon as Lamar's cooldown was up. I was sorry when the guy left or timed out of the lobby - he made me $30K richer.

I don't think the mugger works on players on roofs. Correct me if I'm wrong, though.

It does if there is a ladder to access the roof from ground.

I don't have a tactic i just get bored and i'll send the mercs, mugger and put bounties on people at random but i do like sending the mugger after squeakers as i like to hear them rage when they loose $10,000 one kid even cried one night after the mugger took $10,000 from him he just got completing a mission.

Anybody else think it's really stupid that when you send the mercs & mugger after people it gives them a little popup, The point of using them is to hit em when they aren't expecting it and whenever someone sends one after me i am ready and waiting for them to come.

I just relies on the fact that most people don't read all the pop-ups but i do.

Depends on the roof. Muggers will climb ladders.

nice points of view guys thanks. personally i only tend to do it , if the player is on his mic talking alot of trash and just trolling others. Of course its always a bonus when i see they have 15 JPs or more, as then i have noticed tend to steal more money from them than those with 0 JPs. I dont normally mess with peps , unless they just being super annoying on their mic. Or the one thing i cant stand , is the ones who mics constantly make a loud humming noise ,if i hear that , im going after them immediatley until they lose enough money and get tired of being followed and leave lobby , or turn off mic, whichever comes first. I cant stand those humming mics constantly, to me you deserve me to steal some money from you for that annoyance

Muggers work best against wall huggers who camp during a 1v1 free roam battle but i rarely use that feature though.

Camp? or taking cover? Because there is a difference, and people seem to cry more when I take cover when bullets are flyin my way.
