How do Explosive car upgrades work?

I think its the same as GTA IV,ignition is kind of a trap, you leave your car there and if some player enters, explodes, now the remote one is where you call for a cellphone number and explodes.

Yes,if you have insurance you keep the car,but you going to pay for that.

Misanthrope Z

yes, you can get the car back if you put loss & theft prevention

ignition bomb does what's implied- blows the car up the second the engine is cranked

i tried the remote bomb once and nothing seemed to work

you're better off just hiding a stickybomb on it

From what I understand only one of your owned cars are able to have an explosive upgrade.

The remote bomb give you a new contact in your phone where you can call it and detonate your car.

I have not messed with the ignition explosive but I'm pretty sure it is when another player tries to start your car it will explode. I don't believe it will explode if you start your car yourself.

As for the insurance I'm 90% sure that you can put insurance on an explosive modded car.

You can bomb pretty much any car that you can drive into LSC.

As the others said above, ignition bomb will blow up the vehicle as soon as another player gets in and starts the car, while the remote bomb will require you to call the "Detonate" contact on your phone to trigger the bomb.

Yes you can rig an insured vehicle, but you can only rig one of your personal vehicles at a time and doing so prevents you from being able to mod it at LSC until the bomb is removed via detonation.

If the car is destroyed, you don't get the bomb back on the insured vehicle...it's a one-time use, some people don't understand it

They understand this.

For some reason they seem to believe R* would let you blow your PV up and not claim it back on Insure.

It was easy to get kills with this back on PS3 with the collectors edition dlc.

Ignition bomb + Hotknife = Profit.

DLC? There was no DLC, it was included in the game...it was included in ALL of the copies, actually...

...anyways, back in Billionaire Days, you could mod any vehicle off the street into a gaudy eyesore and someone would try to drive it and die in the process

Man them were the days, just leave a car parked blocking LSC. Freeroam was amazing, players helping players. Mod a car to the fullest and let anyone sell it to make quick cash. I hardly heard any raciest assholes on the mic. Just people having a great time. I wonder how much rockstar lost in them days.

OT: all the bomb options are a waste of money, once you but a bomb on them you can't mod it no more, correct?

Correct, until you blow it up and get a new one from mors mutual, then you can mod it again.
