Parachute activity unplayable because of button bug

I don't know if this is a known error, or just a bug on my disc, but I was playing as Franklin just now and decided to do a jump (from one of the helipcopts that's just sat there waiting to pick you up). So the pilot takes me to a sufficient altitude and I get ready to jump. The usual instructions pop up: "Use R to look around. Press X to jump."

So then I jump, and get a further set of instructions: "Use R to look around. Press X to deploy parachute. Press X to retry jump."

Pressing X does exactly what you would expect... you hear the sound of the chute deploying, just as the screen fades and you're returned to the chopper to try the jump again

 

Not really a game-breaker as you can go skydiving whenever you please, but a big error all the same.

See if there's anything you can do by changing control schemes, and also if the problem happens in GTA:Online, but apart from that your best bet is submitting a ticket to Rockstar.

 

I really have no idea how this problem would even happen to be honest...

I'm not that concerned, to be honest, RedDagger, just thought I'd mention it to see if anyone else had encountered it.

 

I don't do a lot of parachute jumping, but the ones I've been doing with that 'Stranger/Freak' work okay, so it's probably just this one inparticular.

I just ran into this glitch as well, has anything been done about it? Pretty bummed I have to say rip to my platinum trophy =/
