Please don't triple post here, be patient please, let him do his work as he would give another progress in the future, So any progress on levels limit? I would like to see LCPD/VCPD and SWAT/FBI/Army units in their respective cities.

I would like to implement VCS empire building site interiors today, however still didnt get hold of the exterior models for the VCS empire sites. I guess finding those would be hard?

Could you enlighten me? why would the exterior models be harder to find than the interiors?

What is your normal source...?

It's simple, all models in VCS are labeled as model01, model02, and the IDs are built by the stories converter where I grab the stuff from.

So, since the interiors are placed in IPL, finding those is easy. But since there are over 6000 models in VCS and that you cant tell which model belongs to what, it's basicly a dead end.

Unless LVZ files get analyzed from the PS2/PSP disks atleast.

 

And no, I am not in contact with them.

Wait, basically you need someone with a PSP that could check which ID the buildings are using?

 

I do own a PSP with a custom firmware and VCS on it, maybe i could help on that one?

No, I need to find out where the models are for the empire buildings. I only need the MDL or converted DFF, I would like to create to create new empire buildings in SA aswell, so I guess the SCM either places it according to Silent, or its all hardcoded.

So i was reading the empire system was being implemented in this mod, man i loved that in vice city stories, something that confused me tho, dkluin was talking about drugs in the empire system? i mean i don't want to be a buzzkiller or anything, but isn't carl agains't drugs?

Yes he is. But still, nothing storyline related will be taken care of in the first few beta releases anyways.

Empire building stuff is going fine, I just have to set up a plan for where the sites will officially be placed at.

I would change the markers and maybe I can add a few Vance Crime Ring sites.

 

On the other hand, I have plans to add a few SA beta features, including the Italian Mafia gang for LV, and as said before, the Bikers and the Russians.

And this also includes Rusty Browns Ring Donuts which I would like to add if possible.

Loco Syndicate empire sites in San Fierro like the drug factory from Yay Ka-Boom-Boom or Jizzy Pleasure Dome's Club

Italian Mafia empire sites in LV Caligula's Casino, Sindacco Abattoir.

Question, Will the SA triads be categorized as the same gang as the LC Triads?

The drug factory and Jizzy's Pleasure Dome's Club would require edited models so they would work with the whole deal.

I mean, construction models so you can repair the sites, and models used for example for high roller/small venture buildings could just be ignored..

 

But wait, I could just make them empire sites which you cant change the target off, they'd just be "static" empire sites.

It requires some bodyguard peds to defend it, and I don't know which to use. Ballas members, since they're involved in the loco syndicate?

Italian mafia would have these special empire sites aswell, you just have to conquer them but you wont be able to change what it does (high roller and stuff like that)

 

However I do want to implement a few empire sites you can capture from the Biker gang, which could be modified and attacked just fine.

 

About SA triads, they should be the same gang as the LC triads.

Snapshot II is coming along great, also coming with proper loadscreens, the old ones were sh*t, the SA storyline which is fully optionable and the implemented sandbox mode, where you have 5 million to start with and all stats maxed out, just like in snapshot I, but with more - unlocked all side missions, and even a fix for the courier missions.

 

To finish that all off most of the snapshot I bugs are resolved, prelightning bugs are gone, alot of SCM stuff is also fixed, and a few bugs with timecyc related stuff is resolved too. I even added more shops to VC and LC and new safehouses.

Yeah it sure does :)

 

Currently theres more:

I've got a temporary menu done for it aswell.

It'll be replaced with a texture drawn menu like in VCS eventually.

All VC cars spawn in VC only already.

 

All VC peds also spawn in VC only.

It's a snapshot II feature.

 

Same goes for LC.

Hmm, I'm not sure.

 

I did add an optionable SA storyline since there's alot of people who asked me for that, and for the ones who dont want to play it there's the sandbox mode, where everything is unlocked from the start.

Spawn point is now in Grove Street, and not at the malibu club.
