San Andreas. Liberty City, Vice City and Bullworth are OK.

These cities are well done. Only some small bugs are needed to be fixed (including missing safehouses).

 

In Midway grass grows on asphalt. That bug is still not fixed. Also, there are no safehouses in Midway.

The districts of Carcer City are not connected one to another and you'll need to fly using a jetpack.

Atlantis is removed from the map and still not returned.

Cottonmouth is only 5% done - there's just a small piece of that city with one enterable building.

When will these places be done?

Midway's mainland Liberty design is gonna be deleted and they will use a new one, they will complete carcer city one day, atlantis was removed because of repetitive level design and will be added again one day, they are not focusing on cottonmouth, probably because they are focusing on the main 3 cities and i heard that with AdusPL's Countryside Mod For LC bullworth will be connected with LC and Midway too!! he's probably gonna continue his work after his graduation

Also there's no safehouses in Midway because they didn't start working on midway yet only map design and because blue's pc is broken. and is still being repaired, until blue's pc is fixed we are not gettin' any midway progress!

I will add that Adus is working on Upstate again but as far as I know none of the footage has reached the public eye yet. Right now only the donators on Patreon saw these progress updates.

Currently working on the following things:

  • Fixing a crash when enabling/disabling trails before the game started
  • Finally doing the code which stores the trails setting in the gta_ug.set file. This will make sure that the trails option in the settings menu doesn't 'reset itself' after closing/opening the game again
  • Fixing the broken sniper trails. My guess is that R* never really maintained some parts of the trails code (so some leftover snippets were still present but the trails code itself wasn't) so bringing the GTA:VC/III code back led to numerous issues. 

I want to do the following stuff soon as well:

  • Fixing the brightness issue on tuning parts
  • Fixing ImVehFt support and finally implementing support for the custom night license plate textures.

Stuff for UG-MP I want to look into:

  • Finishing pickup stuff
  • Managing garages through natives
  • Server-side handling data
  • Managing water data through natives (allowing you to fill pools in mapped interiors with actual water, for example)
  • The server-side data UGA archive used to provide vehicle names, ids, etc. It would act as a solution for vehicle menus or clothes shops displaying skin models. The code for those wouldn't have to be updated to account for any ID changes we might make (and saves us time having to document them)
  • Using RGB values as vehicle colours and ped colours
  • Documenting all of the UG vehicle colour ids (UG offers way more than what SA-MP 0.3.7 offers). This will probably happen with a web-based model previewer on the official website where you can see how certain colours look on certain vehicles.
  • Improving SA-MP's default vehicle colour syncing code - right now it doesn't even factor in pay n spray garages?!

No, as there's nobody capable and willing to do countryside, there's a good chance it'll never happen.

 

Some progress:

  • Gamma is now set whenever the brightness slider is changed
  • Fixed the broken binoculars scope – the scope sprite wasn’t surrounded by black rectangles so all you would see is the scope texture covering the screen
  • The trails option is now stored inside the settings file – the game can still parse the GTA: SA settings file format of course
  • Fixed a possible crash whenever the trails option was enabled/disabled from the main menu (before the game really loaded)

I will try to put a new video out next Monday.

I mentioned over a year ago that that most of the Pacific Northwest can be created by copying and pasting mostly pine trees.

 

Even if landmasses filled with small towns are to be added to connect all cities, there are still plenty of ideas and they may not all fit unless the islands are moved further apart. (What else would that extra map space have been for? Mexico? Canada?)

 

We should think of the most significant places when choosing towns. Everyone's ideas should at minimum beat mine:



Let's make a parody of Maricopa County called Mariquita County. Cops drop money when killed here and the amount of respect earned for killing them is the highest in the nation. The $50 Good Citizen Bonus is awarded for attacking cops (thus letting the innocent person being chased escape). The streets around the police station are sometimes filled with protests. Of course, unique traits from this town can be disabled in a settings file for those who need generic behaviors.

 

Also, if you can't add the Fire Copter and Air Ambulance missions, could you please at least give us a spawn point for the Armadillo and some stairs to access the Air Ambulance?

UG-MP:

As for UG, I haven't gotten around to doing a video, however I do want to do another UG-MP stream once I finish writing my new code. In the first stream we used a build which had a bug which prevent people from accessing the pause menu, broke the trails option on the main menu (if you set it before running the game the game would crash), and an annoying crash related to the UGA archive parser whenever we wanted to connect.

 

All of these issues are fixed already, except the last one (as it's hard to replicate). 

 

What will be shown in the second stream:

I didn't really prepare much to fully demonstrate server-side weather, and since I did this earlier this will also be explained further during the stream. 

 

Midway:

No development on Midway can really happen until Mario repairs his PC. 

 

Upstate:

As some of you know, there has been some progress which Adus may post himself in the LCC thread. Keep in mind that Adus is not an UG developer and that Upstate will be released seperately. The UG implementation will be edited where needed. Examples of this:

  • Adus already did an interior for a custom Ammu-Nation store in Ghosttown. Just like in Carcer City, the idea is to give this a custom shopkeeper ped, seperate it from the exterior world, and make it enterable through the yellow cones (enex markers). Custom weapons, which can now only be obtained through the weapon spawner would be sold there. 
  • Some custom safehouses might be added as well, but only if custom interiors for them are done.
  • All of the peds for Upstate are done already.
  • We're still unsure about which vehicles to use there.

If Adus still didn't post his progress, here it is:
