Maybe I will see if I can make MTA compatible with UG in the future, but for now there's SAMP. If we run in to SAMP's limits, then they will be increased.

 

Wasn't MTA planned earlier instead of SAMP?Honestly I never said that.

Sometimes you are able to meet Bullworth Academy students in the night. Generally some lovers hang out by that vantage point overviewing the lighthouse and very rarely in the town.

Because I'm the main developer, I'm working on the mod, this means that what you saw was a development video for an upcoming GTA: Underground version which will be released eventually. This means that once Snapshot 3 is released, you will be able to use the launcher to install it, and to run the game. You can then install SAMP, and once you open the launcher, it will ask you to install the modified SAMP files, which will make SAMP work.

Ok That will be very cool.Do you have planned to make installer for the mod too?

It may be much more difficult to introduce full support for MTA, however the benefits are that we don't have to patch the files, we could basicly fork the source code and make it compatible from there, but since MTA offers so much features, and introducing support for FLA and UG would require a lot of work. But, I'm interested in doing this, but for now we first need to finish SAMP support.

I know this isn't the current subject of this topic, but I just voted on the current poll.

 

I read the ''to-do list'' for Snapshot 3 and after seeing the amount of things that are marked ''done'', I voted for the Snapshot 3 release in August. In my opinion, releasing Snapshot 3 in a month or two would be just right as there are so many new features already implemented that you could release Snapshot 3 today and it would still be just as great. It will occupy people for quite some time if released in August, regardless of cutting down some of the features yet to be implemented. By the time people start feeling the need for yet another new set of features (ones that get cut in August release), you guys will be ready to release them.

 

If Snapshot 3 gets completely delayed, I'm guessing that would be at least until early 2018 which I'm not sure is a good idea.

Except that we are able to handle this. We wont see the chat getting overrun, as we have moderators checking the chat there. Plus, if you want to join, you need to have a registered Discord account for 5 minutes and be in the chat for 10 minutes. If that isnt enough, theres Dynobot doing the rest.

Lennie, releasing it either sooner or later will cause many people to lose their sh*t. It makes no difference in that department. Prolonging the release in a try to avoid something that can't be avoided is a waste of time at the very least.

Well I also prefer SAMP to MTA mainly because SAMP is lightweight.

Anyways, releasing it later would cause many fans lose their interest & excitement in the mod.

Even I saw, the buzz when GTA UG snap 2.1 was released, youtube, moddb & many others were flodded with UG. You need to understand that even some fans here and at discord are cooperating you but the little internet fanbase wont be for long, even the youtube channel is somehow dying. So release a snap or beta so that the lil fanbase doesnt die and fans dont loose interest in the mod.

Who knows? maybe after releasing a snap/beta UG might be featured in a Kotaku or VG247 article?

 

Hell, neither Kotaku or VG247 gives a f*ck about old games or old GTAs. All they care about is Grand Theft Auto V & Online.

Well, in order to go further in terms of popularity, we must first be sure that the project can handle it. This is why I'm introducing all these features into Snapshot 3, which pretty much has a 75% chance of being released in August.

 

What seems like the best way to gain popularity is have frequent updates, so for example, Snapshot 3 would recieve several updates, each of them containing content which we originally planned for Snapshot 3, so the fanbase gets more involved in the development process.

I wonder who was the one who designed all those neat weapon icons so they can look SA styled. I'm really interested in getting known about it so I can personally ask him, they look great. Which tool was used may I ask?

@SMACKED! The icons were done by many people including me, Stierlitz and Sprunkiemonkey, they were made using a 3d render and photoshop, i wrote a tutorial about 3d era icons, but you need some photoshop skills

SAMP development news:

 

We started working on a server plugin which will be used to patch the server to allow the things we need.

 

Still no progress on the launcher/installer, or the website, but I am setting up a testing environment, like I said. This will only make the mod more stable.

Spartan_112 redid the Countcash, which is a BETA version of the VC Infernus.

You intend to add some corrections to the san andreas map that were taken from the pc version? For example pillars and lighting near the casino And some others, PS2 MAP + FIXES, Unofficial Patch 1.2.

Not at the moment, we have other goals to work on at this point, such as a launcher/installer, SAMP support, and support for other mods.

Sorry to say that but.. OMG that cheetah looks horrible...

I kind of thought the very same, the very second I saw the convertible. It's a great effort, but it just does not seem to fit the car. The ones with hardtop look awesome. The idea is cool, though.

 

The car looks too flat without a roof.

And about that Infernus, I love it! I think I have a new favorite car!

 

Ignore the harsh reactions. There is nothing wrong with speaking open minded, we can all share opinions.

This is my final solution, cleaned up the posts. Now lets go back on-topic. About the roof, it is set to spawn in three variants as the screenshot suggests. This means you still have the original roof.
