[WIP|BETA|SA] GTA: Underground - Mod Discussion

Hello,

Greetings devs and members,i got an issue with the mod ( GTA:UG ),i was very excited about this mod,i create this account because of this mod,so i installed the mod politically,technically and physically correct according to some tutorial references,unfortunately i am unable to play the mod :(,it crashed on the loading screen ( plays the loading music for a split secs and then stops followed by blank screen,but not terminated,Alt+Tab reveals its a crash,pressing Alt+Tab makes the menu sound ) its about READ_ACCESS_VIOLATIONS,i've reinstalled several times,moving it elsewhere and no clue.For the details see below:

- Running GTA:SA v 1.0 Hoodlum as said its non steam got it from CD

- Host OS is Windows 10,tried to change compatibility modes no results

- Already done DEP exclusion and delete user files

I've seen a lot having the same problem,we would appreciate if you could fix this issue,and i really appreciate the effort and time the crews have lost during the creation and development of this mod,keep it up,your work is great and is very interesting,it really is the mod we all need,we hope you fixed the problem anytime soon.

Seriously though, more countryside/major map stuff in general has to wait a bit. Patience is key.

It seems that only you and few others are working on the mod. Have you ever thought about expanding your team.

So, I was trying to download this mod using SAMI and it downloaded part way, then it said that this mod isn't compatible. Am I doing something wrong? How do I download this mod?

Zone patches seem to be completed. The weather zone system is implemented too, so this means it became possible to edit the exact weather zones. This doesn't mean that I am now able to make the weather interpolate, I'm not that far yet. But I'll eventually make the weather interpolate, yeah.

 

Also thought about editing the current gang wars system a bit, as the turf colors only change when you are actually in the specific city. I might make it so the colors of that specific city are different, aswell as their attack icons. This means that gangs which attack SA turfs use SA icons and the turfs in SA are using SA colors even if you are not in SA, for example.

 

Game saving/loading is also modified, so this means your savegames will not load properly when you modify weather.zon. Will be changed in the future, with a possible savegame conversion system.

Since people seem to really want me to change Saint Marks Bistro, and I wanted to edit it for a while, I'll edit it. I'll start by editing the SA interior and add an interior door + the VC room. Unless the polls somehow change...

Update on rampages/hidden packages:

 

Hidden Packages

Hidden package feature is completed, I just have to add them to VC and LC and implement a reward system, which can take some time. The reward list was posted some time ago, but since it's buried and nobody is probably going to bother finding the link, here's the link.

 

Note: $1.250.000 reward when collecting 200 hidden packages might be edited to balance the game a bit, as you'd have alot of money and nothing to do with it. However, since some properties became alot more expensive a while ago, it might be left untouched.

Rampages

All of the pickups are already implemented, however when you tried to pick one up (in versions after snapshot 2.1), the game tells you that they are coming in a future update. Why? Some of the rampages are about killing gang members, and are located inside gang turfs. Since the player would be unable to play these rampages if he/she had already aquired these turfs, I decided to put it on the todo list and finish the feature with extra patches so it would be gangwar-intergrated. This means, that the gang which has the highest density percentage on the zone the pickup is located in, will be the gang the rampage is focussed on. Since I've done alot of zone functions, it wouldn't take long untill I implement rampages and the gang war intergration. So, stay tuned for that.

For Saint Mark's Bistro, i think the courtyard from the interiour should be blocked off, and instead a new courtyard should be created behind it in LC. There is nothing there at the moment, the map is missing in that area, looks terrible when you fly over. Also you should consider adding more peds in there (maybe the chef ped model from VC into the kitchen?) and making it into a proper restaurant

The area behind the restaurant might be updated so it has the SA area.

This mod is amazing! But a question, is it possible to make an option to change the look of the HUD from the SA HUD to the GTA 3 or Vice City HUD?

Please leave Vice City alone in the sea without land connection. It'll look odd af if there's land connected to it from the left because the map itself is small and leaving it in the sea will make it even more tropical. Notice how there's a beach in the left island, which will stop existing if land is connected to it. It will also look strange to have land around the military base and the hyman stadium

I know Miami is connected by land, but in reality the city is much bigger and the land connection won't make it weird. We'd need to have some sort of GTA VI Vice City rendition of a bigger Miami for the land connection to make some sense.

Not sure why you included features already on the to-do list. It just clutters the poll with already confirmed stuff. Besides this, we all know that you're including all vehicles (albeit in SA style) and peds from other games.

and danny,i think you should try to make the bully vehicles sa styled,since bully has like 9 vehicles in the entire game i think it would be pretty easy and fast,and it would be easier to test "sa styled" vehicles

also will you add the Spud gun from bully? you could just make a Hunting Rifle(sniper without scope) that does almost no damage and has the spud gun sound and skin

I'm building an official website for GTA: Underground. I don't know when it'll launch, but I have some ideas, and I already did the basic layout (images, scaling, buttons, and so on).

There is a guy in this forum already made a website. Why so waste valuable time between making a separate website? My advice instead use that one.
