ohhh someone is against children violence, get the f*ck out of here, this is f*cking mod, not real product, if i want to, ill f*cking bomb that school...shoot everybody...

the classic sniper rifle from SA has a PSGI icon, the icon can be reused on new PSGI rifle, and the classic rife can have a new icon

You could make them invincible and if you attack them the whole school wants to kill you.

That's how karma works

Not being able to kill the children would also ruin the gameplay.

 

Look, this is just like any other game, if you don't want to kill someone in a sandbox game, DON'T KILL THAT PERSON, it's that simple. I will never understand why people keep asking for barriers and limits just because they don't like an optional thing. The games are only f*cked up if the player is f*cked up aswell. Blame the player, not the game.

maybe you can walk around with it, like bully (game, where bullworth is from)did, that game was supposed to be way more violent...but because of people like this blue car or assholes like jack or hillary...it will be more controversial than it was back in 2006, maybe disabling weapons in there will fix it (plus adding ability to put people to trash cans..

yeah that will be cool)

that will be kinda fun, but only for some time, it will be like something in LS that riot mode, but having it in city for all time, that will make bullworth the least city to enter...

Or maybe just dont waste so much time on unnecessary scripting? Simply make the school and bullworth town filled with gangs just like the other cities (nerds, greasers, preppies, jocks and CJ's faction will be the normal kids with the green vests)

It will look funny. CJ commands schoolboys, lol. It will look like saints row and will spoil the atmosphere of the game.

Well the landscape stuff requires alot of time, and so I'd start with the highways before any other important stuff first.

Also, I'm going to edit the video's I recorded earlier. I'll just change these long annoying waiting periods like this:

 

A new GTA: UG video gets uploaded on every Monday. Time is unspecified.

 

Next video, ofcourse, will be published, next monday.

Quick question because I forget everytime, I think I'm on Snapshot 2.1, do I just need to download the latest and merge and replace files? Also is there any way to make absolute sure what Snapshot I have? I looked in the Compat.Mods folder and saw in a *.txt file that it was snapshot 2.1 but I'm still unsure...

my game crashed when i put new game

I've been suffering with the new game black screen for days now. Two things helped me out and now the game runs.

 

Never mind, I finally got it working, all I did was deleted my User files and put it on the data execution list"

 

Literally did that and the game now starts new game as normal.

 

Also anyone having an issue with the game intro been blank, update your quicktime player, helped for me.

Mods like this are fantastic (take VCS PC Edition for example), but they all come to the same fate: it stays alive in singleplayer until the hype is done. A fantastic mod like this, with everything included, should have the honor to be compatible with SA-MP, by recompiling SA-MP and making it work with the mod like it's been done for GTA United and other TCs.

People are actually too worried about singleplayer content, when in fact all they want is a multiplayer mod to fool with their friends and maker their own gamemode in there by using the game elements. This mod at current state, is already viable for multiplayer, as people will already get busy making their scripts, playing in the server and discovering the whole stuff. This in return will turn to a quieter forum in here and will let you guys work without kids debating over stuff.

 

Once you get SA-MP working with this, I'll clap my hands. Until then, good luck :)

Someone before said you could get wanted level for entering Bullworth Academy with a weapon in your hands, and I believe this could be the best solution. Or if you want to really spice things up, let's make a teacher outfit you could find inside the main academy building or something, which would allow you to wander around without being noticed. But that still sounds like an overkill if you ask me. Let the Ockham's razor work.

Now when I think about it, Liberty City has the old school building in Portland, next to the Callahan Bridge. Some student/teacher peds could spawn there too, occassionally.

 

 

 

This mod at current state, is already viable for multiplayer, as people will already get busy making their scripts, playing in the server and discovering the whole stuff. This in return will turn to a quieter forum in here and will let you guys work without kids debating over stuff.

 

I think we both know that wouldn't happen. Once there would be an UG:MP, people would drown this thread with countless requests, bug reports and general spam, just like they do now with their 2 player mod videos, terrible radio stations and "game crashed plox hlp" messages.

Underground changes on daily basis as far as I see, new snapshots and patches are being released from time to time, and building a multiplayer platform around that ever-changing fundaments would be pointless, since in next month or two UG's structure could be overhauled or changed enough not to be compatible with the multi.

Besides, getting rid of bugs, unifying the general world material style, improving stability and finishing what's visible, which is the map, seem more important than multiplayer mode.

 

Boy, what a time for the modding community. Came back from my retirement to check what's going on on the forums, and I'm so glad to see Danny still doing marvelous job with UG and expanding it every day.

I'm glad to see you too, TheD! Sadly CC never turned out to be something great.

 

About the "fundaments", they pretty much got redone since Snapshot 3. I even want to split the enormous set of bug free patches into newer C++ file loaders.

 

Here are a few concepts:

 

bonus.dat

Modifying vehicle bonuses can be done very easily, as the system would support giving the player health or armor, and weapons.

All vehicle bonuses are defined there and adding custom bonuses will be possible.

 

emergency.dat

Define how emergency vehicles will work.

Best way to make the school realistic without kids .. is to make it like it's closed by the PD by adding signs and stuff in the front. but you can still enter the interior and there will be nobody inside the school. how's that ?

Terrible idea, there's no need for all that stuff, just get the students there and THE PLAYER will decide what to do. If you don't like killing kids then don't do it.

 

Again, it boggles my mind how people want to limit a game just because of optional stuff. If you had to progress by killing students, then THAT would be a problem, but this doesn't seem to be the case, so I have no idea why people are bitching about this.

Fine, adding children without restrictions to killing them. The forbidden zones may still be a thing though.

 

It would most likely give you a wanted level of 2 stars if you aim at any ped inside the school. I might even add a new cop type for prefects and asylum guards so they can hold a nightstick and spawn as cops around these area's and even in interiors.

 

Would that be fine? Just holding a weapon doesnt seem harmful, aiming at them might. Shooting children could even trigger a 3 star wanted level.

That's the best way in my opinion. Will there still be an option to get a prefect or asylum uniform to get into those areas?

Just make the kids friendly where you can't aim or attack them, just like when you have NPC's as body guards.

The last thing we need is sh*tty anti-fun mechanics from GTA V.

Asylum guards may have the syringes. i remember, when the guard caught Jimmy, the screen became green and blurry. But CJ can kill them and pick up the syringe.You can add unique animations for killing a syringe (from bully or manhunt)
