Okay jigsteal, could you please put everything in one post? I have never seen so many triple and double posts in my life! I hate to complain but it's probably one of the reasons we got to page 300 so quickly.

 

If you actually bothered to read my posts, you'd realize I said 'Sorry if I post alot, its because i reply to people's posts as i SCROLL DOWN.

 

I reply so much because I dont spend my time constantly refreshing the page waiting for someone to post something,

 

And I start scrolling down and replying from the last page I commented on.

 

Also, I do not want people to say tl;dr because my posts were too long, and tell me i have really long posts.

No, it doesn't becuase along with that you have terrible and obnoxious spacing and font size in each of your posts to make them way longer then they need to be, and also how that reasoning doesn't even consider the fact that there's an edit button so as you scroll down you can add to that post later. The topic is already a sh*thole of spam and the last thing we need are double-triple posts.

 

Also, good on the staff for not making a sub-forum for this mod, I feel like that would hurt it more than help it. (See what I did there? I diddn't use quadruple spacing and put my replies in one post!)

 

1: I made the text huge so you could see it, and not give me the reply you just gave me.

3: You weren't even quoting anyone, that doesn't need spacing.

 

4: Because I make one seemingly long comment at a time to one person, your idea is combining the posts? How would they realize Im replying to them? You don't get notified. A bunch of people wouldn't get notified, they'd drift past the comment, not knowing I'm replying to them.

 

5: You only combined those two posts because those two posts weren't A BIT LONG like mine. Otherwise I would combine them.

 

6: I didn't use 4 f*cking spaces, i used one.

Whether you like it or not, I don't want huge posts that no one feels like reading. I make those triple posts because for example: i commented on page 301, i was gone for a bit, and when i came back, the page was 303. I decided I wanted to go to page 301 to see what comments I can reply to. I saw someones comment, then replied to it, then continued scrolling down. I saw another comment, reply to it, continue to scroll down, find another, comment, continue to page 302-repeat-then 303. Then I see your complaint.

 

So now do you understand why I dont combine my sentences into one huge TL:DR post? One person wont really get me to change how I post. TL:DR means 'Too long, didn't read'.

 

 

Your argument is near invalid, as you're pretty much telling me i'm spamming because of your opinion of how I post. One large post (your idea) = a bunch of people dont realize they are being quoted and they dont wanna read it because the comment is so long, thus it feels like a long post (once again, your idea) is more spam than 3 short posts.

Maybe with all this stuff we can go focus on a Snapshot 3 release with a possible set of updates (not patches) which would contain more content and optimized stuff and maybe even UGMP aswell.

It would be nice if a moderator or dkluin himself could choose what post to allow and what posts not. It's kinda taking away the freedom you have on the forums but it will prevent stupid sh*t and force people to use a bug tracker.

 

We as the moderating team won't bother ourselves with this topic. It's too much of a mess and it keeps piling up.

Also if we're going to need to approve every single post, the topic shouldn't be here to begin with. If it were any other mod or topic in general, it would've been closed by now.

 

Giving dkluin moderating rights over this one topic doesn't sound like a bad idea in theory, but for one I don't know if it's possible and two, doesn't he need his time to make said mod?

 

Also, for anyone wondering, including Danny, there won't be a sub-forum for this mod, that decision was made some time ago already. You're either going to have to deal with this one topic, or make your own forum outside of GTAForums.

 

Dead mods like SOL have their sub-forums, but this one not, OK it´s your decision.

Underground was part of SOL, to be more precise it was the name for SA version of SOL. Since Underground is no more part of SOL the SA version of SOL is dead.

SOL isn't driven by the community. Nobody seems to bother to play it nor post anything. It's pretty much dead.

 

GTAUG isn't a community driven mod neither, but having it's own board helps when it comes to managing spam (afaik multiple people can manage the board) plus staff shouldnt have to bother to clean it up every time. This is why I figured it would be a good solution to the problem.

Okay, whatever, do as you please. That doesn't change the fact that it's annoying and actually ends up working against you, but this thread is already cancer and I doubt one guy not using double spacing and double-triple posting is going to help that.

So ok, hello i'm Jhoshua and i have been around the modding comunity (any kind) for a very long time, not as a modder, but as someone that can't stop modding games because why not, so it's easy for me to spot a mod which the developers put passion in it, and this is one of them. This will be like some sort of review, but really they are just my thoughts, and be ready for an long *as* review, so here we go:

 

What the hell were you guys thinking?! Omg, this is the best mod i ever had the pleasure to download and play! And it's not an easy one to develop, i can tell, but you guys are really good at it, and i am really thankful for the job that you are doing, you guys brought a new and unique gta experience like NO ONE was ever able to come with, I can see this is nothing compared to the final release this mod will have, if you intend to bring everything you listed in your goals, but now and here this is really something great, you guys really deserve all the support in the world, so here what i'll do, i'm Italian and i noticed that no one posted a video about this mod, so i will help spread the word, i want you guys to succed, even if i'll just bring 20 new persons to this topic, it will still be something.

 

I have been fooling around gta underground world, been re-visiting the past game towns with my heart dying because of the feels, with the gta sa gameplay it's even funnier than ever and the gang wars stops me from stop playing, so good job on that, nice touch. Liberty City and Vice City are really well build, i mean not perfect but i'll roll with it, i like it so far. I happen to find the levels from carcer city, that's gonna be a b*tch to develop, it's a dark and greedy city, so you'll walk it off by copying and pasting Liberty City buildings and get an idea with the ghost town. It really looks like a big city, so i'm expecting somethin really original out of it, and i know i won't be disappointed. About Mh2 city, i can't wait for that neither, i think that's even harder to make, so good luck to you guys even though you won't need it. I even explored Bullworth, it's nice and cozy i can already see that you guys will make it nice. It lacks an airport, but it doesn't need it, if you guys make it a little bit closer it will be a pleasure to reach with a squalo taken from liberty city. I love Atlanta too, i mean, it's just ghost roads and few buildings, but i like the feel you guys wants to give it, GTA is always been about the feels the city gives you, and Atlanta could be a really nice addition, i like the Orange gangs, the cops, the emergency vehicles and the custom buildings, it really feels like another piece of the world and you nailed it.

 

I don't really have anything more to say, nothing that you guys don't already know so i'll start with the complaints and suggestions (they are few don't worry ):

 

- Story mode: ok, you guys made your choice to make it a sandbox game, and i respect that decision, it's still a fun game to play. But you know what i enjoyed a lot about san andreas? The building of your character, i loved starting from zero just to make CJ become always stronger. My suggestion is not that you guys enable story mod again, it's totally ok really, but could you guys like put an event circle where on touch it completly reset CJ progression? (Money, skills and stats). I gotta tell you, i hate starting with all those moneys, getting the paper was another fun port of san andreas, in those milions of ways, killing, secondary jobs and so on.

- GTA 5 switch style: ok, so, lately i installed skin selector and then gta switch style mods, why you asking? Because roleplaying is fun! With the switch mod you have 3 characters, and i love to put the on the other 2s the skin of Claude and Tommy, i really like it and i feel like the world doesn't turn around only when playing CJ. This is really a far cry suggestion, it's not essential and a little bit stupid, but it really would make the game more enjoyable. The mod is already out there and i don't think that the creator wouldn't let you use it, in the end you just need to change the skins of characters from the 5 to the old gen ones, and change the spawns on the respecting cities.

 

I repeat, it's a stupid suggestion. This mean you would need to code in the switch for Jimmy from bully, Cash from Mh and Danny from Mh2, and at that point the game would get needlessy complicated, but still the first 3 characters would be nice.

 

Question; will you add kids to bullworth?

 

And that's it, i wanted to give my thoughts in and give you guys support. Keep doing that great job, you are an unique skilled team with mean ideas!

you made long ass post where you asked to add features that should and can be added after map is fully done (or almost fully done, and requires polishing only) (the gta 5 switch style and missions). They should be added after the map is finished because you never know how would you have to redo the scripting, also redoing script breaks saves, breaking saves pisses off players for starting game again.
i am not reacting to anything else as i have no big role in this mod, but what i wrote above should be general aspect of every total conversion.
Also ppl have asked about those questions like milion and half times already.

What? SOL is not really alive, it´s dead, at least on SA engine. SOL for SA was as long alive, as Underground was part of it.

It's not my decision, i'm just explaining the situation. The call to not give this mod it's own board was made by an admin of this site a few months ago already.

 

I also wanted a board for IVSA when it was at it's peak, I was told no too, you just have to suck it up.

Amazing mod, probably best mod ever done to a GTA game. (can you guys remember a mod more amazing than this?). But sadly, at least for me, it's full of bugs and crashes still,so i can barely explore.

 

(also, bloodhound maverick from manhunt you added has wrong collision, back end sinks to the ground.)

There's the CHANGEPERSPECTIVE cheat which allows you to switch protagonists.

Question: If, and i repeat, if, i'll ever learn to mod, will i have permission to use your world map to make this: http://gtaforums.com/topic/865690-what-if-johnny-survived/(i would give credit, or probably make the mod so that people would have to download underground to be able to play this, i don't know, something to give ya people credit)

But will probably never happen, i'm to lazy to learn to do something actually good. I'll probably end up to use DYOM like a nub to do something small to kill time. The idea in the game came to my mind and then i remembered that Underground basically fuses the cities and it's like a perfect opportunity for the idea i had to happen. But i can't code and model for sh*t :3

I'm leaving this here so that someone would like to take the idea and make it into something, putting all my hopes here.
