i installed the mod and followed all of the installation instructions however everytime i load a new game it starts playing some weird ass music then if i tab out i see a crash lod please help i have not found anything searching on the internet

 

I have this same problem while playing the game. Its a crash and it may causes from out of memory or wrongly configured game.... Just send that .log file to dkluin (if he would to help you like that) ps: that music is called "Ode To Joy"

I mentioned earlier that you should do something about weapons. Like all assault rifles will use single skill stat slots. Pistols(including desert eagle types, silenced pistol) will use one single stat skill slot. You just need to change strings and link weapon skill data to one weapon stat slot.

What about some aliens and other visit-able planets?

 

Not really, some ideas i came up with:

Running fast with heavy weapons like in GTA's LCS and VCS (I thought this was already done in GTA VCS PC Edition)
Liberty Sawmills interior from GTA LCS accessible both in LC and in Angel Pine, SA (were there is also a sawmill, which shares the exact same model)
Statue of Liberty located west instead of east of Staunton Island (like in NYC and GTA4's Liberty City)
Red jacks, Purple nines and Seville Boulevard Families as separate gangs with different (beta?) Grove Street models
Cortez' yacht cruising around the sea by a certain path (like the trams in SF)

Run where? Certianly not around Mainland Liberty cause it will crash your game.

No plans to add animations as of yet.

I don't know about the sawmill, so I'll skip that.

The Statue of Liberty could be a bit further away from LC tho.

Danny should answer about the gangs.

The yacht cruising would be a nice touch.

And you'd rather have a yacht cruising around the sea than going around Dunsfold for example without worrying about crashes? That's really good set of priorities, top marks.

He was just suggesting things to add to the mod. He wasn't saying "Hey, drop everything you're doing now and add my suggestions to the game. Bug fixes aren't as important". There's a difference between "forcing" somebody to do something and "suggesting" something to somebody.

Dunsfold shouldn't cause any crashes. The crashes are not directly tied to the map location you're in.

 

The thing with Bullworth crashes is that it seems to be RenderWare related (texture related to be exact), I could even re-convert all NFT archives and still end up having the crash.

 

It must be something which goes wrong for 1 single NFT file, and since I couldn't find anything odd when it loads Bullworth (however I am pretty certain of the crash being related to the trich area) I don't really know what else it could be.

 

Not to mention, isn't it fun to dig through a sh*tton of NFT files to fix a bug?

No, it's not forcing, but I already see people sympathize with the yacht thing and if more people start doing the same thing, then developers will probably take that as an assignment or ''squeeze'' it into the schedule somehow which will just slow down more important stuff as it already has been the case many times. That's why today, you have a huge oscillation between city progression and stability. The effect isn't called ''the power of suggestion'' for nothing.

 

Not to mention there's this crazy guy who wants ISIS in the game. To cry or to laugh, that is the question.

 

Minor ideas shouldn't even be taken into consideration until major stuff has been taken care of, but I guess it's hard to acknowledge that.

Also when you leave a city (VC for example) with a wanted level (2 for example) you can make a script that will give the player 4 stars (like in storyline mode when you go in SF or LV before it's the time to do it)
Like a National Following or something

Hey iv been out of modding for alot of years and just while watching some rainbowsix siege video in yt. I found this MOD wow im f*cking impressed! Im going to install san andreas again im going to install this mod il try to add more details to the maps (garbage.. sh*t.. Trees) maybe have better textures some gta IV texture for LC,manhunt,carcer city) and some gta V texture to gta sa,vice city, bullworth) i will work slowly. So dont except anything from me. (and devs i will contact you when i will get started) have a nice day.

Fun fact: It's harder than replacing some files in the IMGs cuz you can't access the IMGs ;d

In other words: as soon as you install this mod, you cant mod your GTA anymore, atleast not the same level without this mod. You cant install custom stuff (be it weapons, vehicles etc) nor can you edit the map or the textures. So its pretty much an EA GAMES version of GTA.

 

I dunno what the point is, but this makes me avoid playing this mod, considering the fact that we have GTA United and GTA SAxLCxVC mod which are modable. Yes, both may not the same quality as your mod + the extra islands, but the fact that these mods are modable (and the leader of SAxLCxVC even allowed to share edited versions of his mod to public) just excel this mod and i think that with these mods, there can be awesome, bigger & better stuff done.

 

Its your mod, do what you want, its just strange to see Mods for a modable game that are turning it unmodable.

It's moddable, just create IMGs with the modified files (most files are the same as in GTA 3 and GTA VC), for the map objects, look it up in the different IDEs. It's all moddable, you just need to know how.

 

OT:

Custom vehicle in GTA UG (Deluxo ported straight to VC, by me):

To do this, you just need to make a new IMG and add it to gta.dat. The IMG entry in the dat should be first in the list.

You can even replace files, by simply putting your IMG entry above the other ones and it will use your custom models and other content instead of GTA Underground's files.

They just don't want idiots messing around with the files, then blaming them when their game crashes. Plus dkluin said he'll decrypt the game files in Snapshot 3.
