Of course they should be respected, English is an incredibly hard language to someone who has a different primary language, but most of them are not even reading the thread (or translating) and have no consideration to how much effort it takes to add things. It's been a trend with that particular group in this thread.

Love it when people act like they should dictate how someone else's mod should be done.

 

Either apreciate a mod for what it is or make your own, it's not rocket science.

 

I'm not sure who your post is directed towards, but it makes no sense whatsoever as neither myself nor turbocharger have said anything that would ''dictate'' how they should make their mod. What you're implying is that we shouldn't even give argumented ideas and advices which is childish and stubborn at the very least. We meant no disrespect. On the contrary, I actually said several times in this topic that I find the mod to be exceptional already.

 

I'll explain the point of my posts to you on an example of a car. What they're doing (preparing to do) is putting in new car seats and deciding what color they should be while they have only 2 tires and a non-functional engine waiting to be taken care of. My point was to show how would be easier for them to save time and push the production forward as it's a bit unorganized and unnecessary to focus on the outer layer of the mod which can't even ''shine'' without the inner layer being taken care of fully.

 

But, like I said, it's their mod, they'll do what they want.

dkluin, you misunderstood me.

 

As far as I'm concerned, you don't have to connect the map, I find it more realistic if there was ocean between the cities, but I remember reading somewhere in this topic that the goal of GTA Underground is to connect the map. I never said it has to be done within some time limit. It is a part of the inner layer of the mod which is the map itself and however long it would take, it's fine, I think it's still better to focus on that than on the outer layer where you deal with things like side-missions and customizing interiors which is totally irrelevant for the quality of the mod itself.

 

As for other stuff, when I said traffic, I meant stable traffic without cars making a U-turn in the middle of the street at some points in the map without any reason, cars driving on the airport etc.

 

Mod itself is stable when it comes to VC and LC, but other parts of the map aren't even close to stable, but that's reasonable since they are in early stages of production such as Atlantis, Bullworth etc. That's why I think it would be better to focus on finishing and stabilizing them rather than customize interiors in VC which is already practically finished when it comes to inner layer of the mod (minus a few bugs here and there).

 

It's your mod though, I find it to be exceptional already, don't get me wrong, I just think you could be more cohesive when it comes to working on the entire map and not focus so much on just some parts (like VC for ex.) while 2-3 cities aren't even finished yet.

Patches are fixes/update to the current build (base) of the mod.

 

Basically, just download the base mod and then patch (aka update) 9(.1) and you're good to go.
