Right now I am already planning to change some interiors in VC/LC.

 

Some possible changes:

* Custom El Swanko Casa interior, leaving Victor's mansion unused

* New safehouse with interior for Claude's safehouse in LC

* Changed interior of a Vice Point hotel (near El Swanko Casa) so it would no longer glitch out for some people

Warp to the marker doesn't work in DYOM because the vtol is too slow and I want to warp to different island like island from bully and new liberty city since I want to make mission for the trip. I tried every warp to location mods but it doesn't work

 

But what's the control for the vtol anyway to make it go very fast?

Guys what do you think about the ideea to customize/tune bikes/motorcycles in shops like TransFender ?

I think it's a good idea. I was wondering, is it possible to add new garages without depending on game's hardcoded exe datas?

Since I didn't really know the developers take ideas into consideration for GTA Underground new Snapshot/Patch releases, I figured I'd put in my two cents when it comes to ideas for this mod. :)

 

This mod has immense potential and amazing work has already been done in my opinion, however, here's some of my ideas I think could bring to the quality.

 

 

1.) I think the developers should focus the most on stabilizing the map, specifically Vice City and Liberty City before any other part of the map. I see something was mentioned about changing the interiors in Vice City etc. I think the ''fashion accessory design'' should come after the map is complete and stable (I believe it was mentioned the whole map was supposed to be connected etc.).

 

Beside VC and LC, other maps are very unstable and/or in very early stages of ''adjusting'' or making, so I think the ''make-up'' of VC/LC interiors should be put aside until the map is connected and all the cities are completely stable. At least I think the overall exterior stability and completion of the whole map should be a full priority right now.

 

2.) Ditching all the unncessary side-things that just choke the mod itself would be a good idea firstly because of time saving. Stuff like storyline feature (original story missions) is unnecessary as well as gang territory colors and constant gang wars.

 

3.) Stabilizing the inner layer of the mod being the priority and completely stop consuming time with the outer layer until the inner layer is stable and complete. By focusing on inner layer of the mod, I mean stabilizing the traffic throughout the whole map, corresponding peds for each city, HUD map being accurate to the actual roads... Outer layer would be radio stations, interiors, car mods, garages, gang wars, territory coloring, original story missions, side-missions etc.

 

 

Yes, I would love to see this mod being fully stable and complete as fast as possible as much as the next guy, but after checking out the whole map myself and after reading the plans that are mentioned here, I think developers would release the fully stable and complete map a lot faster if you would put aside complete outer layer of the mod until all the cities are equally stable. Keep up the good work and hopefully, we'll see this mod being released way sooner than in 2 years as someone estimated (which is an over-estimation in my book already, even going at this pace).

By stable he meant without a single bug, looking like it was meant to be there.

As far as I'm concerned, you don't have to connect the map, I find it more realistic if there was ocean between the cities, but I remember reading somewhere in this topic that the goal of GTA Underground is to connect the map. I never said it has to be done within some time limit. It is a part of the inner layer of the mod which is the map itself and however long it would take, it's fine, I think it's still better to focus on that than on the outer layer where you deal with things like side-missions and customizing interiors which is totally irrelevant for the quality of the mod itself.

 

As for other stuff, when I said traffic, I meant stable traffic without cars making a U-turn in the middle of the street at some points in the map without any reason, cars driving on the airport etc.

 

Mod itself is stable when it comes to VC and LC, but other parts of the map aren't even close to stable, but that's reasonable since they are in early stages of production such as Atlantis, Bullworth etc. That's why I think it would be better to focus on finishing and stabilizing them rather than customize interiors in VC which is already practically finished when it comes to inner layer of the mod (minus a few bugs here and there).

 

It's your mod though, I find it to be exceptional already, don't get me wrong, I just think you could be more cohesive when it comes to working on the entire map and not focus so much on just some parts (like VC for ex.) while 2-3 cities aren't even finished yet.

^Indeed. In fact, those are two quality posts he wrote. While he's probably not fully familiar with mod's progress (neither am I, I just jump in from time to time to see if there are news), he makes a very good point, and the concept he mentioned is right. The priority should be the map and its stabilization as it's the core, platform let's say, of every modification. After that should come cosmetics, or the outer layer as Jimmy mentioned.

Long story short, he didn't mean no harm and the stuff he said is not far from truth.

Btw, don't get this wrong, I didn't mean to tell you what to do or how to do it, just saying I agree with the guy.

Anyway, either say what you have to say directly to person you are referring to, or don't say anything at all.
