I implemented VC stadium events.

 

You can play 8 track minigame while in Vice City.

 

Things I added:

 

-8 track minigame uses different hotring vehicles in VC (VC hotring cars are used + VC peds are used aswell)

-VC ambience sound will play instead of the SA one whilst in VC (both will work normally)

 

Things I am fixing:

 

-White LODs in Liberty City

-Cars driving way too fast in LC

-Lag in Portland (seems to be tied to those LODs)

 

Yes, there was a reason behind these really fast cars.

The maximum speed for vehicles was constantly updated to 1000.0. It is part of the lift bridge script. I will edit it so it will only do so when cars should start driving again.

Fixed the following bugs:

 

-LC traffic went really fast

-Lag while in Portland

-White LODs in Portland

 

Should I release patch 7 with these patches so everyone can enjoy these fixes today instead of a week or so later?

 

Patch 7 would be a small patch but since all other patches are included it will still be 1gb.

if he does bring out a patch 7 and if he does still patch story mode, I got the feeling it SHOULD! be story mode fixed, so am looking forward to that naturally

I think we should let him focus on Snapshot 3 because most of the fixes/improvements we would see in Snapshot 3 so we should let him finish Snapshot 3 instated of making patches for every bug/glitch we/he found

I agree but disagree at the same time. I think that there should at least be one last hotfix when there's something wrong with something as major as traffic, and focusing on the next snapshot could be done when most if not all major bugs are fixed. It's not like we are demanding him to fix every single bug in here through patches (Even though certain people in here are doing just that, unfortunately) , and that would be quite stupid too, because more likely than not something is going to be added in snapshot 3 that breaks something, and then the cycle starts over. Just get rid of the major bugs with what we currently have, and then add on more features and patch that up.

 

I hope you can see where I'm coming from.

Did you ever consider adding GTA 3's blue tint via timecyc's color correction value? It can give similar effect I think.

Patch 7 will also have a finished Portland traffic light set, making every single crossroad have cars stopping infront of traffic lights.

The music becomes really choppy and glitchy when you start playing pool inside the greasy chopper. Also after this, the radio station icons became blank white squares.
