Just put the 'noDEP.asi' in the root folder of the game. DEP problem solved.

Useless if your DEP options are not screwed up. By default DEP is not enabled in any III era games except newsteam SA.

Maybe consider playing GTA SA without GTA Underground, atleast untill storyline mode is finished.

Aren't you and the other members of the GTA Underground team suppose to help people having problems with the game and help figure out problems if people are experiencing any? Instead of just saying "I don't know"? I know you and everyone else are doing this in your own time, for free. However it would be nice to try and have help.

 

Planes never crashed in patch 4 for me, I had random crashed when walking around, or busted/wasted and sometimes when I entered a car. Now cars work fine but planes crash the second I enter them.

I want to make some sort of an announcement:

 

I honestly can't work on these patches anymore because people just keep spamming me with all sorts of things, ie fans trying to ask me for help continuously while I try to fix issues, and then there's the other group which is basicly here, I haven't recieved anything for the stuff I did fix and people don't seem to give two f*cks about what I do as long as every single thing in their game works perfectly. Here I still have to deal with my finals and I am trying my best STILL to bring out a patch every few days, as said, all I hear are people having issues, nobody enjoying how much improvements I did as ofcourse, it's still not perfect. I have to do everything these days, if it's not the people on Skype or GTAForums, it'll be the rest of the team asking me why I didn't add their content yet. Isn't it obvious that I don't have time for everything and can't you guys just atleast thank me for taking the time to look at the issues and try to fix most of them? Or is it too much to ask for? Is your game still not fixed enough? Like, the second I go back to modding there's just other people asking stuff, either its the team, you people on GTAForums, youtube comments, Skype people, or people like fastman92 wanting me to test their newest product, or it's just Red complaining about how I replaced his weapon icons with some ones Stierlitz did.

 

It's still not even close for it's first beta release as these are still snapshots and they're called snapshots for a reason. If it was a beta release, I would not at all be statisfied and neither will you people, obviously.

 

Do I honestly want to work on patches when literally everything I do here is just not giving me anything in return? I tried to give people daily bug patches because I felt bad for the people still waiting and waiting for a new version. So I started doing patches. I expected everyone to appriceate this change but yet all it does for me is take time I should rather spend on my more important final exams for school.

 

Last note: I ofcourse want to help everyone but, it's getting to a point where I am working on bugs people reported or just making things more stable and polished, and then I have to read through this spam which I described earlier. If I ignore it, it's just leading to people with terrible english not listening to what I tell them, which is also why I want to do something else.

 

So here's a summary of what annoyed me whilst making these patches:

-In my view nobody seems to care about these fixes, I try my best to make them as good as possible ofcourse.

-People asking me for help whilst playing the mod, which also makes me feel dissapointed as I didn't do my job right in my eyes. It's not good enough, as half of the people are having trouble and random crashes I really don't have the time to fix, I have enough sh*t to do. I really wish I would be able to help everyone ofcourse, I want everyone to be able to play it without any issues. Also, you might be wondering WHY I feel like I'm not doing my job well: People don't thank me or just dont seem to appriceate my work, I am doing enough stuff to make sure I pass my finals and then I have to release a patch every few days, that's asking alot from me and so I can't help people. I want people to run it without issues as said so, if half of the people just ask me to fix things and the other people aren't much better neither, maybe you can understand why I make this announcement.

-People asking me to add their content they did won't take much issue ofcourse, but when you have alot of stuff going on related to school, people constantly asking me or wanting me to do things, not thanking me in my view, it just starts to get a bit annoying aswell. Look, if you're a team member, I try my best to add your content but I have so much to do for school, and the rest is obvious by now. It doesn't mean I dont like your content, it's just that I want to fix bugs and make this mod better and better aswell.

-Feeling bad for not helping others is pretty much explaining itself. As people continously ask me to do things I get annoyed a bit and then start to fix some of the stuff they report.

-Lack of time plays a major role in this aswell. The stress from school is enough already. I try to make patches pretty much daily. It is kindof amusing for me to work on this project obviously, but why can't you guys be happy with what I am doing.

-Not statisfied with the result. I try to make it well enough and do as much as I can. But I am not done fixing stuff yet. I still have lots of things I want to improve.

 

Alright, that was my announcement.

 

Please don't go angry on me for getting annoyed by this all. I expect some of you to just think that I dont give two f*cks about you people.

 

I used to get alot more positive support, now its just people wanting me to fix/improve/add every single thing they can imagine.

Let's all just take the time to make a step back and overthink what has been done so far. What has been accomplishes. How much effort it took. How many men it took. How many hours of free time it took. How many stress it took. To me this is not about the result. It's about what's behind the scene.

 

Just test files have been released and everyone has got the honour to play it. There could have also been an option of not releasing it. Just say thank you.

Yellow - car paths problems (U turns,cars should not be there,)

Red - 2 ways driving in 1 way road.

BLUE - One way road / wrong traffic direction.

 

Fixed LC issues:

 

-Fixed LC traffic in the docks area, now they are emergency only (Not working for me)

-Fixed LC one way road traffic and two-laned traffic, its now fully fixed (In some places its fixed)

he is right, every time I come here there is a lot of people talking sh*t and reporting bugs or errors without saying "thanks" or "good job", I just report a bug without saying "fix it!!" and leaving a "you are doing a great job" at the end of the comment, and there is few people here who do the same, it's not hard to say thanks

After seeing your announcement I decided to finally create an account just to say that your work is highly appreciated by much bro, I personally love your determination to always strive to make this mod better, so don't think that you are not appreciated as because of you, thousands of us wouldn't have such an amazing mod to look foward to! I thought I had made it clear in the past I only cared about the sa storyline before in this mod and no a wont play it without the mod, I played the sa storyline back when it came out in 2004 without the mod and have played it numerous times since

 

@dkluin what do you mean people don't appreciate what you do... I think you'll find everyone does but is it too much to ask if your going to edit a game that it alteast works, when I get things or buy things or whatever I get them thinking "this may not work" otherwise I wouldn't bother with it In the first place... Look think what you like dkluin about people not appreiciating or whatever but people are well within their right to make you aware of bugs, that's what the crash logs are for.

 

Tell you all what, people who don't want crashes don't bother playing, if you tell the "Developer" about it, you'll get complained at.

 

This annoyed me tbh. if you can't handle the pressure of modding someone elses game (Rockstars) then don't, just my opinion.

 

@Ghost38 there is also something called manners which I have noticed dkluin doesn't have any of, he doesn't atleast sorry for the bug if he can't help you just get attitude, I'm sure I'm not the only one who has noticed this, I get it there are people who have never said thank you but I have lots of times personally and sometimes, I think the people thanking him and the team is not appreicitaed for saying thanks to them sometimes.

Me/we(others reporting bugs/glitches) only try to help you makeing the mod/patch better not to say to you that this is a total sh*t or a disaster or whatever you think

Great work so far!

Don't get angry at people reporting bugs, it's the only way how you would know what to fix...

Btw. what is gonna be the setting? I mean, VC-style 80's. SA 90's or III early 2000's? IMO 90's SA style (maybe a few years forward so the internet cafe for example won't look crazy) would be suited the best. And what version of LC and VC maps will there be, vanilla or stories? Just asking.

I never mentioned x-seti m8, I'm just saying if your making a mod, be ready for bugs, if they are in the mod you make, do you or the other developers not have a duty to atleast help, or apologise for the bugs if you can't help, if there are bugs after installing your mod that weren't in the base game then it is yours and the other developers faults, I already said I agree some people don't eve thank yous for making the mod but I have said thank you plenty of times and I feel under appreciated for thanking sometimes, the work is amazing but like I said the crash logs are there for bug reporting, if you don't like the constructive criticism that comes with modifying rockstars game, then maybe you shouldn't do it?

Please, don't stop! That's the amazing modification I'd ever seen. It's fantastic see all GTA 3D Era together in this way. Neither Rockstar thought about it. Bug report doesn't give you a bad image, it helps you to achieve the perfection in your mod.

Why even play the mod only for the storyline? It's only the Normal SA story and the mod doesn't play any kind of part in that story.

and don't bother updating it then dkluin, just take it out all together, that'll probably solve a lot of your problems with people bug reporting and sort out other peoples problems with a buggy game.

 

I think people may turn away a bit though coz am sure other people wanted it but just please yourself
