I don't know if only I have this but, In LC and VC police are driving same cars as in Las Venturas and cops are sfpd model. Also I found bug with tunnels. When I ride into the tunnel it seems like I'm underwater. (Sorry for bad English)

Ladies and Gentlemen, your ten year waiting period is over. Behold, one of the boxiest of Soviet box cars. From the makers of Bully, brought to the GTA universe by yours truly.

I thought Kommissar was German.

But great work though. Ever think about releasing it on it's own?

One day probably. Also it can be used as a translation for "Комиссар" in English too along with Commissar/Commissary.

It's just the nif file man, it basically tells us that the car is foreign, nothing more than that. Do we call the other cars "Car", "Pickup, "Truck" etc because their files are named like that? Also I don't know about that, the front, the back, the general shape. Screams stylized Russian Gaz

If we are talking about Soviet cars, then the most close real-life tail is that of Moskvich-408:

But still, all cars had similar design back then.

IGCD says it's a Simca Vedette but with really f*cky proportions, probably to mix it with some generic 50s or 60s sedan, especially with the fins in the back.

Yeah I see what you mean when you look at the back

The shape is still pretty f*cked and that's where the similarities end. Whatever it is, I don't think it's the end of the world if it ends up being called a Russian car

The Front and back reminds me of a Gaz 13.

And the overall shape of it a Gaz 24.

Hey about the vehicles way, just contact me on Skype and tell me which vehicle you want replaced and I can try to make a new encrypted vehicle.img for you :)

Also if you want to make a vehicle pack for GTAU for lets say releasing it I reccommend speaking to Red aswell since he did a large contribution to the vehicles which saves us work in further fixing/improving.

-------------

About adding a vehicle.img with your very own models:

If you want to replace vehicles, you can't. The best way is following these steps.

Requirements

-VehicleAudioLoader.asi in your root folder so sounds work for your added vehicles

-Some knowledge about free IDs (i have some free IDs which could be used, maybe use the free ID script by fastman92)

-Knowing how to add vehicles in default SA (reccommended)

Steps to do so

In order to add new vehicles its best to rename your desired vehicle so it has a special prefix (I do this aswell, choose something like "mod_" so the vehicle is not replaced.)

So lets say we have a vehicle mod replacing the Cheetah.

Choose a suitiable name like: "lamborg" and add a mod_ prefix, like this:

mod_lamborg

We will now create a new IMG archive using IMG Factory or any other tool. We can use any name, but in our example we use "vehicle_mods.img". You can give it any name, but keep in mind that we must add this img to gta.dat so the game will read it.

Navigate to your SOL folder and create a new folder called "mods" and place your img file here.

The path to the img file will be: "SOL/MODS/VEHICLE_MODS.IMG".

You can add the desired DFF and TXD file in here.

Then, go to your data folder and open the file called "gta.dat" and add an IMG entry like this:

"IMG SOL\MODS\VEHICLE_MODS.IMG" (It is very important that you use the "\" character instead of "/"!)

If you chose a different path, please use that path instead.

Now, we can place it above the first entry with the other IMG files and the game can use this model and texture dictionairy.

Next step is choosing a free ID (in my example it will be 5090) and copying an existing vehicle.ide line (you can open/find vehicle.ide in your data folder) and changing it like this:

415, cheetah, cheetah, car, CHEETAH, CHEETAH, null, executive, 5, 0, 0, -1, 0.68, 0.68, 0

This is the default line for the cheetah. If you want different handling, please change the handling line defined in vehicle.ide file.

We change it to:

5090, mod_lamborg, mod_lamborg, car, CHEETAH, CHEETAH, null, executive, 5, 0, 0, -1, 0.68, 0.68, 0

To have a little understanding of the 'cars' format in IDE files, see below:

The first number is your desired ID. With GTA Underground you can choose any ID as long as it's a free ID not used by the map, above 42000 (limit), or used by anything else.

The second value is the dff file name. If you used a different name earlier, change it to your desired name.

Third value is the txd name. Same as with dff name, if you used a different name in IMG, use the different name here.

Other values are not important for this example, if you want to change the handling line you can add your own to HANDLING.CFG and use that instead. Don't replace one!

So now we added our own line to vehicles.ide. You can try it ingame but it wouldnt have any sound or car colors. So, we must edit carcols.dat.

We will search for this line:

cheetah, 20,1, 25,1, 36,1, 40,1 62,1, 75,1, 92,1, 0,1

and we copy it and paste it after the cheetah line and change it to this:

mod_lamborg, 20,1, 25,1, 36,1, 40,1 62,1, 75,1, 92,1, 0,1

So the two lines will look like this:

cheetah, 20,1, 25,1, 36,1, 40,1 62,1, 75,1, 92,1, 0,1

mod_lamborg, 20,1, 25,1, 36,1, 40,1 62,1, 75,1, 92,1, 0,1

Do not replace the cheetah line or delete it, it will delete the car colors for the Cheetah so it will always be black.

Last step, adding a vehicle audio line. We open up vehicleAudioSettings.cfg and find this line:

cheetah 0 103 102 1 0.89999997615814 1.0 8 1.0 2 5 0 2 0.0

we copy it and past it at the last line of the file, just before the ";the end" line and change it like this:

mod_lamborg 0 103 102 1 0.89999997615814 1.0 8 1.0 2 5 0 2 0.0

So the end of the file will look like this

mod_lamborg 0 103 102 1 0.89999997615814 1.0 8 1.0 2 5 0 2 0.0

;the end

Ofcourse you can not spawn the vehicle and neither will it spawn into traffic, but this is how you could add your own vehicles. Just keep in mind that the ID you give it must be free and not used by anything else.

My free ID list:

Free IDs (generated by Free ID list generator, made by fastman92.tk):

thanks so much!

so i reinstalled gta sa and this mod and tried it all again with your steps and it works, would you be able to make me a cleo to spawn the vehicles?

To Dkluin and others: what about crazy idea and make Twin Peaks City from the series, why always have robbers, harley gangs and someone like Jason from Friday 13th, who could attack us by chains saw without a warning? Its could be small montains city like from Allan Wake based panorama (country picture) like from Paranmont Pictures old movies. You know what I mean, and can be sound the theme music from Twin Peaks accidently when action may going on :D

thanks so much!

so i reinstalled gta sa and this mod and tried it all again with your steps and it works, would you be able to make me a cleo to spawn the vehicles?

thanks again

Alright I will post my cleo script source below. You need Sanny Builder to compile it.

In order to spawn your vehicle, you can change the #MOD_LAMBORG to your own vehicle model, or just write your chosen ID instead.

Use cheat code "SPAWNCAR" to spawn this vehicle. You also cannot spawn the vehicle while already in a vehicle. It's very easy to edit aswell.

{$CLEO} const modelID = [email protected] carStruct = [email protected] player_X = [email protected] player_Y = [email protected] player_Z = [email protected] ///////// Change this to your own vehicle if you want to spawn a different car.///////// The #MOD_LAMBORG is ID 5090. In other words, you can write #CHEETAH or any other model just fine!modelID = #MOD_LAMBORG :loopwait 0if0ADC: test_cheat "SPAWNCAR"then if Player.Defined($PLAYER_CHAR) then Model.Load(modelID) // Check if model is available :loop_2 wait 0 if Model.Available(modelID) jf @loop_2 // dont spawn car if in vehicle if Actor.Driving($PLAYER_ACTOR) then Model.Destroy(modelID) 0ACE: show_formatted_text_box "You cannot spawn the vehicle while in a vehicle!" -1 jump @loop end 04C4: store_coords_to player_X player_Y player_Z from_actor $PLAYER_ACTOR with_offset 1.0 3.0 0.0 00A5: carStruct = create_car modelID at player_X player_Y player_Z Model.Destroy(modelID) 0ACE: show_formatted_text_box "Vehicle with model ID %.4X spawned!" modelID endendjump @loop

Just keep in mind that the ID you give it must be free and not used by anything else.

thanks so much for the script but I have a problem with sannybuilder.

when I select my game directory it says "wrong game directory". do you know how to resolve this?

If you want to know how to spawn the vehicle or how to check it out ingame, ask me and I can make a simple CLEO script to spawn it.

OMG, you've made a whole science of simple car replacement:) Why?

Would you please stop quoting long posts, it's annoying as hell to scroll down through them. If you want to quote a long post, put a spoiler or shorten it manually, or just write @~person who you're replying to~. Thank you very much.

If you want to know how to spawn the vehicle or how to check it out ingame, ask me and I can make a simple CLEO script to spawn it.

thanks so much!

so i reinstalled gta sa and this mod and tried it all again with your steps and it works, would you be able to make me a cleo to spawn the vehicles?

thanks again

In other words, you can write #CHEETAH or any other model just fine!modelID = #MOD_LAMBORG :loopwait 0if0ADC: test_cheat "SPAWNCAR"then if Player.Defined($PLAYER_CHAR) then Model.Load(modelID) // Check if model is available :loop_2 wait 0 if Model.Available(modelID) jf @loop_2 // dont spawn car if in vehicle if Actor.Driving($PLAYER_ACTOR) then Model.Destroy(modelID) 0ACE: show_formatted_text_box "You cannot spawn the vehicle while in a vehicle!" -1 jump @loop end 04C4: store_coords_to player_X player_Y player_Z from_actor $PLAYER_ACTOR with_offset 1.0 3.0 0.0 00A5: carStruct = create_car modelID at player_X player_Y player_Z Model.Destroy(modelID) 0ACE: show_formatted_text_box "Vehicle with model ID %.4X spawned!" modelID endendjump @loop

thanks so much for the script but I have a problem with sannybuilder.

when I select my game directory it says "wrong game directory". do you know how to resolve this?

Odd, just select your GTA Underground installation and you can see all of the vehicle IDs in the game. You can also use my script to spawn the secret/hidden vehicles.

Modding GTA Underground is soon going to become easier.
