The topic got a bit fcked up as you guys saw for some reason.

 

Anyways should we add new lowriders? Or should we focus on VC vehicles in SA style again?

Also I had an idea about adding the VC/III wheels a bit modified so they're SA styled. You could install some of these VC/III wheels in the future.

Another idea related to tuning, adding a feature where you can "upgrade" a vehicle to their other counterpart, so if you have a SA Cheetah, for 50.000 dollars you can turn it into a VC Cheetah, or even a III Cheetah. I don't know how this tuning idea will work out in terms of coding, but I'd like to add this feature.

 

Even more ideas; adding a car showroom feature. You can spend loads of money on a car lets say, 100.000 dollars for a Cheetah, and it will spawn at your safehouse. If you changed it's color, then it will spawn with the new color. Modifying it will also result in the tuning parts staying onto the vehicle. Maybe a bulletproof option could be included?

Lowriders are pretty neat, I think the other vehicles should have priority, though.

That sounds like a very good idea. Options for customization are always nice...

Sounds interesting. Still, the cheetah in GTA: Vice City and GTA 3 are almost completely different. The same thing for the Infernus and other cars... could be tough.

What would be an ingame explanation for a complete change of a vehicle-model?

It's simple, in coding, it will turn the model you're modifying into a different vehicle. All modification parts will be lost.

However on the good side, it's better if you want to get that special vehicle without spending time to find it. And, it'll be a way to spend your money on.

 

Many things are done like this.

 

Tuning parts? They're just an addon attatched to the vehicle.

Tommorow I will fix more bugs.

 

-Sunshine Auto's breakable glass not being visible from both sides

-Oysters/Horseshoes placed 5 units higher then they should, old 1.13 bug never fixed

I stated earlier that I didn't find out what method manages these so added police cars dont have the flash lights.

 

Fixed the oysters/horseshoes in VC, now they're at the correct height.

Fixed the Sunshine Auto's windows so now they are visible from both sides.

Maybe the Import/Export feature from original game could be used? in VC it was located at Sunshine Autos and in LC it was at Portland Docks & Pine Creek.

Interesting. As for the video, are you going to implement different quotes for the LCPD & VCPD officers, along with the helicopter pilot dialogue, or you're just gonna leave it as it is? I know, it can be very difficult to code.

No, I didn't. Nothing was changed. It's only tunable at Loco Low's now.

 

Also I have found an easier way to handle timecyc.dat files, but unfortunately it refuses to work properly in SCM for some odd reason...

 

Unfortunately it requires me to make a CLEO script for handling it. Don't know why, could be a CLEO bug, where calculating an offset from start of timecyc.dat array to current thread seems to not work.

 

But its still a better option :D

Meh I guess allocating memory would be a more easy way instead of using a label offset written into memory.

One word:Do it (wait it's two right),bulletproof option is a good thing,but it's gonna cost a lot,what about other features?Dp,fp..."levels"of cars are kinda strange thing,but i think that it's not that dumb idea,'cause you can only find these in each city right?Buying cars in a showroom,is it going to work like a shop with bikes in gta united?Like camera on a bike and prize ect...,more lowriders?Like cars or mods?Mods Right?Yeah of course,but do not replace these paintjobs...,what about new colours for these cars,like gold,silver,chrome,rainbow?Coding problems?Im no expert but changing cars at one spot isn't that big deal right? (Changing=hiding one type and replaceing it with another)these wheeles are good idea but,again in each city or at transfender's in Sa?

That's not possible right now, due to limits.

Hi, sorry for sounding like a noob here, but I would really like to try this mod but unfortunately it isn't working right. It gets halfway through the loading screen and then crashes. The fastman92limitAdjuster.log can be found on this pastebin here

 

I have DEP set to "Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only" if that helps.

What about Bullworth Academy placed near Liberty City, since it is in same world as GTA, it could nice to see old friends. Actually some kids could be scripted as gangs(factions).
