That army ped could use some higher textures but other than that they are looking good

How can textures be high?

 

I meant like better quality textures on the camo. Is it from manhunt 2? I've never played that game.

Oh my bad, I didnt get that he was speaking about the quality of the textures.

 

Thats simple, we release the content with snapshot 3. If he wants to release them as a seperate mod then I would let him. But I dont want too much of that snapshot 3 magic being released too soon :p

 

One big improvement is better than a half one. Also, imagine all of the fixes and improvements I am going to do. Starting with LC lods in Portland, missing texture on Haiti gym, improved Mall and improved JFUD script so our custom VC pizza parlor works better.

Why does the installation fastman92 car spawner, the game crash ?

I also have this issue... I hear the *.ini file may be to blame but, I have the correct one and It still wouldn't work correctly.

The army guy's flag patch should be on his left shoulder as opposed to his right, as well as camouflaged. For example,

But I dunno if the character's texture is simply mirrored or not.

Some news ragarding Map and its Radar (Cyan Blue line is just a screenshot out of Photoshop it isnt ingame lateron ofc)

Heres a new screenshot of the planned terrain map around the cities:

I feel like that may be a bit empty. You should add suburb areas outside of Vice City, LC, Atlantis, Carcer City, and Mainland Liberty.

Today seems like a good day to improve several features and fix stuff.

 

Snapshot 3 might not take as long as I thought.... Maybe a release is closer than I thought.

It just includes coding a new business and adding a system to give more money to the player. That's all.

And, we need stats limits hacked and I certainly hope it will be done.

Will there be any kind of a storyline?

If you tallking about the old and useles storyline, it´ll be avaible, but no new storyline in the snapshot.

Stats limits? Huh, you mean adding new stats for the character? Like stamina, etc...? Or you mean weapon stats like Gangster, Hitman etc...?

If you look at the start in the regular cab, the Taxi light at the top is lit up just until he gets a fare. But at the end when he gets into the Kaufman Cab, and starts the mission, i'm pretty sure that same light isn't lit up. Maybe that doesn't work even in VC, i don't know. Just thought i'd mention this.

That's vehicle special features limit :p

 

As I didnt look at the TAXIODD script that well yet, it might even have the code in there.

 

Also to make things faster, maybe I can patch a method in memory so in SCM, Actor.IsDrivingTaxiVehicle would also check for our own added cars, as I believe the vehicle special feature depends on it.

We decided to add new clothing. Also found a bug in Binco clothes shop where I had some weird vc_vest clothes defined there but with no GXT name nor did I include the models from the playe2.img so it's pretty much useless.

Will there be different clothing available in each city, this would create a certain "vacation-flair", I think?

Oh the storyline stuff will come. Just wait 1-2 years and we will start with it.

 

First, 10 beta releases. The first one isn't even out yet, all you guys have seen are snapshots for the real beta 1.0, and beta releases usually have almost no bugs :p

 

Ofcourse, in these 1-2 years, we will start on modelling entire landscapes, countryside and fully finishing the Carcer City maps, and Cottonmouth. Atlantis will be finished obviously, and a few other cities will be done too. We would even like to connect them all with highways and landscape, places to explore and all that. Even so, I want to do an Upstate Liberty. Something above the current LC map.

And now you know what I mean with it, fastman92 is all about these so called paid requests now so I decided to make it an easter egg. A limit adjuster costing lots of money to be made :D
