Great progress! Loving this mod man, please keep this up. I don't mean to bug or anything, however what is your rough estimate of beta 1.0's release date?

I've got an idea for another big city,

Wayward Pines!

my names are terrible though.... Probably located in a abandoned area with hills and possibly a forest. I've got the name from a song from Kansas...

It should be a good idea, ideas are welcome.

Or Capitol City, the 3d era washington DC parody.

I've got an idea for another big city,

Wayward Pines!

GTA Underground mini story:

Carl Johnson, a middle-age gangster decides to leave the dangerous San Andreas state. He gets in a black Elegant and leaves looking for a place to be safe. After many miles of car trip, Carl has an accident. He wakes up in a forest, and starts to run when he finds an abandoned place with people xD. He walks on a pub and there is a Chinese lady serving. He asks her: "Heyo gal, where is me at?"

She answers: "You are in Wayward Penis, ehm, sorry. Wayward Pines, San Andreas. A GTAV cop shoots CJ and he wakes up on his bedroom. Watching the first episode of Wayward Pines over 40 times drove CJ crazy...

In another beta, you can add New York from Max Payne? Add near LC to be a part of LC. Cause LC is a parody of New York.

I have more alternate universe ideas. Officer Melvin Harris is a member of GSF (Gang Stoppers Force) with Officer Sean Johnson and Officer Lance Wilson. They fight against the Crashers gang led by Frank "Frankie T" Tenpenny. He has allies Jimmy "Jim Slim" Hernandez (leader of a Mexican gang) and Eddie "Killer Ed" Pulaski (leader of a white biker gang). And Frankie T is the brother of the player, Carl "CT" Tenpenny.

Hey guys, I've been lurking these mashup mods for the 3D era games for a while. I'm a long time fan and I want to help. My specialty would be in storyline development, because of my limited (but growing) knowledge of modding. I'd like to ask XP, or anyone in on the project's story side to contact me on Skype, HomedogJesus. I'm excited and have reasonable ideas to share.

Congrats on the progress so far, and keep it all up.

 

Sidenote: what are the ages of the people working on this? I read a few pages back we have 13 and 16 year olds working on this. I myself turn seventeen soon, and think it is great that we have people so young working on this. Makes the project that much more impressive. Thanks.

I didnt even export the map yet.

 

Working on some kind of easter egg that I will include in the mod.

It's a bit.... Barren and dead.

I can't give more info about it though.

Oh, lets not forget, I've discovered 100+ duplicates in game_vc.img, going to fix it straight away.

Only thing left to do: Remove these entries from col archives.

 

Then we won't have to deal with collision bugs, instability issues, and other crap.

I'm adding CC levels to GTA Underground as a test, let's see how this will turn out.

 

EDIT:

 

Another thing i've noticed, some missing textures ingame could be caused by having duplicate TXD names.

How I found the duplicates:

Use IMG Factory 1.0 to export by IDE. I exported files using SA ide files.

Easy way to get a list of duplicated models.

Right now I've fixed alot of water.dat bugs. I might model a custom seabed for Underground later on too.

I got LC, VC, and SA water working correctly, going to fill the space between them. Something nice to look forward to. Once I've fixed these annoying water bugs, I will continue on fixing the duplicated models, and then, it's time to finish these binary ipls for VC.

 

And afterwards, I could try to do LC (without prelightning), and once that's done, MLL could be ported at last. Then, I could release something. But, I won't. I would like to add as many vehicles, weapons, and peds as possible, and write a new SCM for Underground. I could even use SA shops in VC and LC, and make it something like GTA United.

Still not sure where to add SA shops in MLL though. The entire town looks the same, basicly.

 

Anyways, I'm testing a bunch of other mods to see how everything goes.

I'm not including any of these mods in the final release though. Just using them for testing purposes only.

As of today, I've fixed the water issues. I've got LC, SA, and VC water added in, and everything else is filled aswell.

I disabled VC's IPL files just to give everyone a good look at the water.dat fixes.

 

One more thing, I've fixed some missing texture bugs on the seabed.

What I've fixed today: Some duplicated objects, result: Texture bugs fixed, and collision bugs shouldn't occur anymore.

Why not release an alfa build once you get to the point where you could release something. That should help you find some bugs.

 

Edit: Is SA on it's original cords or is it moved tp center the map?
