The AI jet needs a nerf...... Look at this sh*t

OP's video is more like pot luck that the AI pilot got a missile off, combined with the fact the missile that was fired at it, damaged it in such a way that it lost control and started falling// flat spinning, hence the correct angle was achieved for a missile.

 

Seen it many times when their forward motion is quite abruptly halted, usually caused by explosive rounds or a missile hitting the elevators.

The only thing wrong with the AI jet is when you had forgotten to kill, or had been killed from this jet in free roam when leaving Fort Zancudo, and then it keeps circling and repeatedly gunning you down, normally with just a single round or two. This can be very easily avoided by leaving the base without allowing the jet to take after you in the first place (by staying very low until you've left the perimeter of the base).
Even if you fail at that simple thing, when the AI jet is at your 6 o'clock, but still a distance away, you can do a slow loop (halfway) and then complete the rest as a fast loop, and if done correctly you should be a little bit behind the AI jet. Then it's just guns or missiles.

In missions, just make sure you're not in a position to be attacked by it, often easily done by getting rid of it nice and early.

I see nothing wrong here, the AI jets are weak sauce and easy to take down. Why is it when ever someone can't work out how to deal with something, it's OP? smh

The problem isn't even that the AI jet is overpowered, because you can easily deal with them just by being smart. The problem is that the programmers compensated for their dumbness by giving them the ability to pull off insanely acrobatic, one-in-a-million shots every so often. It doesn't make them that much harder to deal with, but it does add an element of cheapness that doesn't need to be there and doesn't really add much difficulty anyway.

I don't see the issue. I'd laugh my ass off. If this makes you upset you take the game way too seriously. The crazy AI is one of the reasons I like gta so much.

 

Yesterday during Landing Gear, I landed the plane at the docks, my guy starts stepping out, and boooommmm. Blasted by an attack chopper. Plane destroyed, me wasted. Hilarious.

wouldn't it say "you committed suicide" if that was ur own missile and not "you died" ?

 

edit: if you look closely you can see the continuing smoke trail from homing missile behind the jet after jet fires its missile

Wrong. The jet shot a missle, it locked on and killed him.

 

If his own missle came back and killed him, the feed would have said "you committed suicide" as another poster commented above.

 

Its a trick of the eye, an illusion.

This has happened to me multiple times in that mission. I rarely bother with that mission due to the aim-bot jet and army men.

Why are you waiting for the jet on that mission? Not sure if on purpose but if you fly real low and go down the highway to the east it cant hit you, just fly low through the canyon above the highway he will crash

Yeah AI is unfair some times. They mostly get Head, Chest , Neck shots.

I remember a lobby when i stole a jet and died later from the AI jet 20 MINUTES LATER it killed anybody who had a star on them. But overall all NPCS need a nerf you cant even have a realistic shootout when you have bulletholes all over your body from ridiculous autoaim npcs
