Does your wife/girlfriend (husband/boyfriend) play GTA?

My Wife watches me play every night. Sometimes she watches but mostly her head is buried in her phone playing god knows what and looking up current events, etc...

GTA isn't really my gf's thing (though she probably clocked double the time I did in RDR singleplayer a few years back) so no, never played together. She sees me play all the time though and likes to critique Courtney's fashion choices... and when she brings me a drink or a snack or something she's started saying "I hope you'll be very happy, madam!" in the Pegasus operator's voice XD

i have always been a gamer which kind of came as a shock to my gf when she met me. when gta5 came out we both fought over the ps3 on who got to play. we finally got a second ps3 a month ago so we can play online together. we play just about every day and it's a blast. to be honest i prefer playing video games with a junk food picnic on our coffee table over a fancy dinner any day.

Both my girlfriend and I play GTAO. Except not together, which sucks. She has Xbox and I have Playstation, so that sort of limits when we play.

Yup met my gf. Actually from a pubic lobby on this game Lol. Had lgbt as my crew and she asked about Me and we talked things led To things And now we are together lol

My wife and I play almost everything together. We started GTA at the same time day one on PS3, heck just bought 2 ps4's and 2 copies of Destiny and GTA V for ps4 so we could do that. Probably going to log a lot of time in ESO when it releases. It nice doing everything together. When we get a new system I don't have to worry about nagging if I order out for 5 straight days, she'd probably nag if I didn't. She tries to watch football too, but says it is hard to watch cause the refs don't know the rules. Always asking "Why didn't they throw a flag for that receiver getting tackled?"

Ironically enough, GTA V is actually what our first conversation was about. She's finished it on my then XBox 360 (which is now hers ) but I've always wanted to play online with her, too bad we never have cross platform servers. Would be nice though.

 

My option at the moment is either I get her an XBone and a GTA V copy or I get a PS4 and we both get new copies.

Hey Fellas (and ladies)

 

I just wanted to how many other 'significant others' like playing/watching GTA.

 

Quick story - my wife doesnt play video games and couldnt understand why i like them so much. For years i used to get nagged at about playing the game over spending time with her. Y'all know how it goes.

 

so one day she came in my office and just started watching me play. She realised that i was playing online with both of her younger brothers and asked if she could try. SURE! I end up going to bed and she stayed up til 4am playing!!!

 

Then for about a week i had to literally pry the sticks from her so i could get some playing time! She made a 2nd character of her own under my profile name and everything lmao! Even spent ALL my "boots to the ground" glitch money (crash into wall glitch). So i asked her if i bought her, her own ps4 and gta would she still want to play? That weekend i bought her the whole set up and weve been having a ball!

 

For any man/woman in a marriage/relationship whos a gamer this is HEAVEN! Not only does the wife get it now, but we also spend more time together. Now my mother in law is next, she doesnt like the violence part but likes the sandbox experience cause we live in the SoCal area.

 

Anybody else have a similar experience?..just curious..

She had always watched me play video games, Like Metal Gear, Medal of Honor and so on, on occasion she would join in and we would pass the controller back and forth(Back when the NES ruled the day we played a lot of Donkey Kong and Mario titles Together) she would play the singing games but thats about all

 

When i started playing Online about 5yrs ago, She tried Online once playing a Racing game named Split Second, but only after watching me play it for Months, and i had got to the level of play where i was in the top 8% of all players world wide,......Well she didnt think about all those races and time it took me to get as good as i was, She got timed out on her first two races, I told her to remember my first race, I not only got timed out, but i also got Lapped, But that was the end of her playing online

 

We would on occasion pass the controller back and forth on a few games in story mode, but for the most part she would watch as the story lines unfolded .........

 

But after Buying GTA5 she watched me and my friends (some were personal friends who lived close by) she got interested in playing because of the Freeroam Aspect, so she gave it a try and liked it, I created her a account and she would play while i was at work, but we wanted to play together, BUT both of us hated trying to Split Screen (not sure GTA5 has this option)

 

So i purchased and Second PS3 and hooked it up to a spare TV that i took out of a spare bedroom .........

we have spent countless hours playing, I have both TVs and Ps3s hooked up in my Man Cave (called that only because i pick 100% of the decor LOL)

 

Since the addition of the second PS3 we have searched for other games that have a open freeroam type ability ......we have got into Red Dead Redemption, and i will have to say she is damn good at it, I still cant out shoot her when she is on horseback,

some nights we play with friends, at other times we use what we call out hide out Accounts and just play together exploring the maps and so on

 

I had planned on Buying a Ps4 this past November, but decided not to until we could by 2 systems, and knew there would be titles, like GTA5 and RDR that offered game play we could enjoy together (and We had an $1000.00 bucks that 2 systems would cost)

Sorry for the immense quote train but you're the first person for a long time I've seen reference Split Second. I loved that game and was pretty decent at it myself although I played it offline, I had gold medals in every single player event which took some doing. I can't believe there was no sequel, one of the most underrated games ever I think.

 

On topic, my soon to be wife suffers a little from a lack of twin stick coordination so she's not good at shooters and GTA is no exception. Not great at driving either, just going straight down the road is an challenge. At least she's happy for me to play it and takes an interest, or pretends to at least.

Lol nope, my girl has the tendency to zone off and preoccupy herself with trivial stuff. But then complain about why I ain't interested in stupid stuff she likes like 'hudabeauty' and 'Anastasia Beverly Hills makeup' videos

It's a good and bad thing, I like the fact that I have sme space from her jus to chill on gta.

She doesn't like games that much, only thing we actually play together is small games on our phone like quizup or jus tryin to help her on candy crush etc...
