Does your wife/girlfriend (husband/boyfriend) play GTA?

she does not, she thinks at age 34 I should perhaps consider using my time a bit more productively than playing on my xbone...BUT she does play kitchen story, castle story and dragon story like all the time on her iphone but of course THATS DIFFERENT lol

It just gets worse when you're older, it's far too childish for a 44 year old!

she doesn't mind really though as long as I show a bit of consideration, especially since she got addicted to phone games!

My wife is as good as I am. I trained her before setting her lose on freeroam. She played single player until she unlocked Trevor, hung that up and has been addicted to freeroam ever since. We have been together and gaming together since 1990 when there were arcades.

Yeah but rarely. We prefer co-op with each other so we play lots of other games together instead. We played some GTA together on last gen, but not on PS4 yet.

 

We've beaten like everything we played together except Donkey Kong Country 2. Those f*cking bees in that game are so annoying. The last time we turned it on, the game started off on the "Game Over" screen and she thought it was so hilarious, but it completely ruined my desire to play it because it was an instant reminder of how frustrating that game is. Can't remember why we quit but I'm guessing we raged pretty hard. It Is kinda funny actually haha

Does playing with your other half change the way you would play or what game modes you pick? My wife would never race for 5 straight hours on a Sunday morning.

Also, whenever wifey wants to chirp about ps4 time, I remind her how much Facebook refreshing she does and its over. I can't play GTA at Applebee's but the damn phone is always there. I also play tons of Disney infinity with my daughters. And they love driving around Los Santos, of course with no volume.

Playing gta with the wife doesnt change the way i play but it has helped her understand why/how i can play ALL DAY saturday. Before she used to take it as i rather play the game than spend time with her, now she gets thats it not that - i just dont want to spend saturday goin shopping and to the wineries! However her giving gta a serious look also opens me up to go shopping or whatever with her now and then.

 

For those that are married, seeing your spouse genuinely take interest in something you enjoy so much goes a LONG WAY!

 

Funny part is now i have to pull her off the PS4 so were not late everwhere! "Hold on babe! I have to kill this guy 1more time to make a point!" Mean while the in laws are asking why are we taking so long to get to the restaurant!

Back when we were dating my wife was into COD World of War and Saints Row 2. She doesn't play much now, though she is a level 24 in GTAO. She complained it was too much time to make money and that I should give her all of mine lol.

My wife watched me play part of the story mode, it was kind of like watching a movie for her. She was always interested in what was happening with Trevor / Franklin / Michael. She took the controller a couple times... the first thing she did as Trevor was pickup a hooker, then kick her out after the deed and ran her over. lol. She also wonders why (as Michael) I couldn't divorce the wife and cut off the money sucking kids.

 

She doesn't get the online thing, but lately she's taken to trying to "distract" me while I'm playing. I don't mind that at all!! (Just need to make sure the mic is muted)

My wife was into watching me in single player. She liked the story and characters. She even tried playing online. Driving only. She liked racing the courses I made for her.

 

At first she would try to avoid the NPC drivers, the she would chuckle if she hit one by mistake but after a while she just started to intentionally dive head on into traffic then laugh maniacally every time she heard an NPC death horn.

 

I took away her driving privileges after that.
