Cash and RP per minute

I know that jobs pay out more for a longer mission, maxing out at about 15 minutes.

The question is, does it pay more per minute to do jobs fast and get less pay, or drag them out?

I could not find any charts that show pay vs time. I could be linear and make no difference.

Take into account loading time between missions as well.

It says on the loading screen do jobs quicker instead of waiting around for more pay

It's not as clear as it seems because you have to add some time for menus and loading. If there are no missions you have to drop to the lobby or do something low paying like races.

It seems like it is probably a wash. The shorter the mission the greater percentage of time in between.

A great mission to do is 'On Maneuvers', pays around 20,000 and 4K RP on hard if you take around 15 minutes.

Unless you want to tangle with a jet that can shoot rockets out its ass, it's almost impossible to not take more than 15 minutes to complete.

For the low rank missions, under rank 25 or so, it seems more profitable to take your time, however with the higher rank missions it is not more profitable to wait the max amount.

I would suggest learning to use a buzzard. I have yet to take more than 10-15 minutes on that mission.

Jump into the annihilator, jump back out, Grab the buzzard, fly up to the side of mt chiliad and wait. When the jet shows up, drop in behind it and send a pair of rockets up his pipe. Zero risk.

Even if it paid off better to take max the mission time, I wouldnt do it. WTF do I wanna do, take 5 mins to do a mission then sit around with my thumb up my ass for 10 mins? f*ck that I would rather have fun doing the mission, make a bit less and move on to the next one. Its supposed to be about fun, not greed.

I found the best thing to do is not to worry about how long it takes to do a mission and just do them. Your going to wast more time trying to do everything in the "perfect" time than it's worth.

This is what I do:

1. Load up mission and complete it.

2. Launch mission from vote screen. If no mission do parachute.

3. Repeat.

4. Profit.

Mathematically, and not counting menus and load times, the best (most efficient) times to complete a mission are indeed just over 3 minutes or 4 minutes respectively, both with 200% of the $/minute compared to the full 16 minutes. However, counting menus etc. you might get more $ for your total time by completing just after the 6 minute mark although the in-mission time efficiency is then down to 160%. And don't be too concerned about ammo cost screwing the calculation. Unless you regularly spend more than $2k on ammo per mission or complete missions in under 2 minutes you are still more efficient with quicker missions than if you waited the full 16 minutes.

Quite obviously, the worst time to "wait it out" are the final 4 minutes since you only gain 10% of the payout for those 4 minutes. If you can finish in 12 minutes do so. Don't waste your time and money. (Also, if you have a stop watch, try and finish during the first seconds of each "payout section" or wait a couple of seconds until you just skip into the next one.)

It takes at least 16 minutes to max out cash and RP - and 4 to 6 minutes to get 50% of that. I find anything under four minutes to be a waste of time, considering the loading screens after every time you finish a mission (playlists are an exception). There aren't a lot of missions that you can finish in such a short time, though, unless you really rush them. So it isn't really necessary to wait until a certain amount of time went by.

Uhh. Why not just go take a bathroom break, drink some water, make a sandwich (.__ . ) like anything really.

No need to do anything rash with your thumbs yo.

If you know how to set up a race it's quite easy to get 8-10k...solo...with no ammo or vest costs.

And at 6to10 minutes it's quite easy to make250k like I did today.

"Stocks and Scares" is better if the player has a Buzzard. You block the side entrance with a Mammoth or a Mesa > you order the Buzzard which will spawn at the end of the pier > you kill with rockets everyone on the ground floor Inside the structure (only a handful will spawn forever) > you land, drive to the staircase which leads to the office with the safe & go up to do the things that needs to be done there (there will be no waves of bad guys coming after you because the side entrance is blocked) > after you finished you drive back to the Buzzard.

10 minutes will give you something like 15,000.

Get in and straight out of the annihilator. You can heavy snipe / homing missile / RPG the jet before it even gets close to you if you want to wait for it, plus waiting for it = more money :)

I use the nearby Buzzard instead and go intercept the incoming Lazer and Buzzards. The AI is too stupid to realize it is being attacked at that point, so it boils down to a couple of easy kills long before any enemy can even damage the Annihilator. Anyway, the mission should never take more than 15 minutes. :)
