the wild west update

i think we should have a wild west dlc sort of like red dead but dlc.

 

 

it should have new clothing like plaid shirts, cowboy hats, boots, indian clothing, and old army clothing

new weaponry like revolvers

 

lever action rifles

 

and a double barrel sawed off shotgun like rdr

 

 

 

and they would add horses with customizable saddles, hunting in multiplayer that you could get more money. and also add online missions with a western theme and with missions refrencing western tv shows and movies.

 

 

that is my idea im sure it probably wont happen but thats what concept threads are for. and also this is my first concept post so if it isint perfect im sorry. so what do you think?

I'd be fine with a Wild West DLC. It would really out of place; however, to see characters in Native American clothing with a minigun. On the other hand, they could use the various outfits for heists in the future.

 

We already received the musket, so they would need something new. A revolver would be perfect, as many fans already want it.

 

Horses would be a beta hunter's dream. If horses were in the game originally, then people would be happy about their return, but also berate Rockstar for not putting them in originally. Unlike a vehicle, though, you wouldn't be able to keep them around as long, seeing as RPG Launchers would take them out in a split second.

 

Hunting is something from SP I'd like to see be put into Online, but there's two problems I can think of with it. There's no wildlife in Online, so they would need to add that. Another thing is, would they make hunting jobs? Instead of a side-mission, they could make small hunting jobs in different places to give more variety. Interesting idea, though.

i agree it would be wierd but for people like me who dont have a last gen console to have red dead i want something western and as far as i know there is no western game on ps4.

Seems cool but it would be strange having a Horse parked in the middle of a major city, and a Cowboy wielding a Railgun. I think that there should be a mode in GTA 5 called Red Dead mode where you can play Read dead in GTA.

I think the strength of this update could be mission content. Remember this guy?

 

 

Manuel. He took zero sh*t from Trevor and sent him to save his ranch. He mentions being settled outside Paleto Bay for over 200 years and carried himself like a character from Red Dead Redemption. Imagine if a big corporation (Cluckin' Bell Farms?) wanted to take over his land -- the same way the railroad threaten to absorb MacFarlane's Ranch? You'd have to deal with the suits as antagonists and stand off their plans to develop Paleto.

 

Another way to introduce Western themed items would be to use Richards Majestic. Michael ends up as Solomon's assistant or whatever. Why not have a RM produced Western film (y'know, where the hero defeats evil while looking good?) and Michael is required to perform stunts to aid the movie -- plausibly unlocking loads of Western gear in single player?

 

I wouldn't mind a 'duel' side mission either.

i agree tyla. that does sound fun. i know horses would be weird in the city so maybe they could lock horses to only in the country or the desert.

I think they should save the Wild West theme for RDR. I wouldn't mind cowboy DLC like boots, hats, revolvers, and Winchesters but anything more than that and they are verging into RDR territory.
