Clan creation basics :

 

Hello! If you're reading this then you're probably considering creating your own clan for a game your invested in. Or maybe you're just someone interested in how some groups got so popular. Either way, I hope this will shed some light on whatever questions you're having!

 

First off, you need a name. A good solid way to distinguish your group from those other guys. Some very important advice I would give is to not limit your clan to a specific game by putting a games title in it. Maybe you started on Call of duty, dont be the C0DxKingz. This is because eventually you'll move past that game, sadly many games do not last forever. Create something fresh, unique, or funny. The name can show what type of clan you are, this is leading up to our next topic, clan type.

 

Your clan type, it determines who you want to join and who you do not want to join. If you're a very hardcore sniping clan on battlefield you don't want to let people in who log on once a week. On the other hand, if you're the clan who gets together once a week to play a quick TDM then get off you don't want someone who wants to compete all of the time. This will just lead to unvested and unhappy memebers.

 

Speaking of keeping members happy, clan meetups is very important. Your clan will quickly die if you're never playing together. You're going to want to set dates for everyone to look forward to. Set up clan battles, practices, or meetings to discuss events. I would suggest the latter to only the top ranking members in the clan.

 

Next, ranking. Just like in Call of duty, battlefield or GTA, ranking up is important. It gives a sense of "YES I JUST DID IT! IM AWESOME!" you'll want to give this feeling to your members. I suggest when creating your ranking system give each member a job or objective. This can be whatever you want, just don't set your standards too high.

I feel sorry if you think "clan" is a term exclusive from CoD. That word gives me good memories of the golden times of the Xbox 360 and the endless matches of Halo, Gears of War and even Doritos if the clan was ready to get some serious sh*t down.

My crew is great. I'm the only member. My ranks or whatever they're called all have Meh in it as I'm not really arsed like meh, MEH and the MEH'IEST MEH. Just made it for the custom colour. My slogan is My crew is me go eff yourselves.

Great advice if you make a MC, don't be beyond unoriginal and name it after SOA and use their logo haha that annoys the sh*t out of me

I agree, I hate that too. Organisation is key,however do not surround yourself with unnecessary administration, such as a crew website/forums. The reason I say this is because you will spend more time trying to manage everything and less time playing the game. Another good tip is to make your crew unique, specific crew vehicles and attire, none of this YOLOSWAG rubbish.

clan... people do still use that word hahaha

 

the last time i was part of a clan was around 1998 for the game Rainbow Six Rogue Spear, i was active til microsoft shutdown our servers at zone.com
