problem shooting other players?

Okay so I've come across this issue several times and I'm not sure what's going on. Whenever I'm trying to shoot another player, my character does a quick action instead of shooting. Please tell me what this is about.

Not to sure. You may be too hard on the sticks and pressing L3 and R3 making them do the action. I've pressed to hard and reloaded before.

I had a similar problem, more so in the PS3. Change your action to "None".

 

I have not run into this being a problem with the PS4 controller.
