GTAO Character Edit

Hi guys,

I found it a bit sad you can't edit your character, I mean, what's the big deal R* doesn't allow us to edit our characters. My character is lvl 180 female, what if I want to turn into a guy?

- No. The only option I got is making a new character and start all over.

Also, I remember when I transferred to Xbox One from 360, it allowed me to edit my character once more but I didn't do it because I wanted to play already! I thought it will let me do it later.

My female character isn't ugly at all but I realized that some textures of my character's face has changed from the 360 to next gen, and I would really love to edit it because I think she can look better.

Also, for misunderstanding, I'm not talking about hair cuts, lipstick, eyebrows, etc. I'm talking about the female's body, if she's black or white, change form of the face, nose or even change sex, male-female etc.


I believe there are people out there who has two female or two male characters and are not deleting their high level character to make a new one. Don't even think about it.

So do you guys think R* will change this at any future patch? Do you think they will also add a 3rd slot for a third character?

I agree, it's ridiculous how we have to recreate a char just to make some changes. I've had countless moments when I had an idea for a new character, but had to delete all my hard work if I wanted to go through with it. It sucks. What sucks even more is when you do create that new char, you lose all of the limited time content you had on the char you deleted. You're basically bound to your character if you want to keep the DLC

There's a couple of glitches you can do to change your character's appearance. If you're on a next-gen console I recommend that you check se7ensins.

I highly doubt it will become a choice in future patches. At most you can hope for a plastic surgeon which will let you modify your face, but I don't think R* would ever allow the players to change their gender or their race, it just wouldn't make any sense.

On the character selection screen there should just be an "edit" option. Hopefully they add it in the future.

Why wouldn't it make any sense? What's the big deal of it? Why does R* even care? Like if we're real persons inside GTAO and trapped for ever lol it's just a game. We should indeed be able to modify.

As another thread was discussing the obscene price of beards, just as an example, we can see more generally that even makeup and haircuts cost the equivalent of a completed contact mission payout. So it would not make any sense for Rockstar to add a free "character edit" button.

 

On the other hand, if we value the price of a full character edit proportional to the price of a haircut, it would make perfect sense for Rockstar to add a $1M Character Edit button. So, we can watch for that.

That's a bit unrealistic. I don't care paying for a beard 5000 dollars (also unrealistic price) but it seems you have to go to a barber shop (which is realistic) You can't go to a shop to modify your face lol Also I wouldn't mind paying for modifying my character's face but 1 million? I will really hate R* for doing that.

You'd honestly be better off just doing the "Alter Appearance" glitch, but if you don't want to then that's down to you. Just saying, cause I doubt a plastic surgeon feature is at the front of the Online dev's minds right now.
