A second island

This is sort of a pipe dream, but it would have been awesome if there was another island of similar size a few miles away. Justify all the aircraft and boats in this game. Give them something to do. The Titan could actually transport a few cars. You could charge money to ferry people's vehicles back and forth.

 

I don't know why, but I've always loved being a virtual pilot, and it seems so useless on this one small island. Small by air-travel standards.

 

Maybe GTA VI.

The top pic, is a river with land mass on other side. I don't know what the second pic is. So yes I believe they have a map already done, just finishing it up for DLC release. It doesn't take too long to make map, detailing it takes time but a map layout, no. Look at gta 4 land mods on YouTube, a year max.

That is just the northeast side of the map. The left land mass is the island in paleto bay and right is LS if looking north to south. It is just an artists drawing.

 

Think about it, why would a shark be in a river? Very rarely does this happen

Yeah I loved travelling to other cities in SA. It actually felt like a long journey, even in aircraft.

Riiiight, they have a tiny place that already exists in the game as a whole new map for an upcoming DLC...makes perfect sense

It will just be more space players won't visit most of the time like everything north of LS. If the military base was in or next to the city the rest of the existing map would have been deserted. We already have more land than we actually use in free roam.

I could picture Rockstar adding something based on Catalina Island, that's off the coast of Los Angeles.

 

Maybe, have a nice island off the coast of Los Santos and add it with an airport, marina, and more activities...

It's probably too late for this GTA, but I really hope that they go outrageously big for GTA 6. Like someone said, give a reason to have all those nice boats and planes. A dream would be if they had two islands that's far, and I do mean FAR, apart. It shouldn't be something where you can see the other island in the distance. It should be the GTA V landmass times at least two, but preferably three or four. You remember Thieves Landing in RDR? The weather always got gloomy and rainy when you went there. Utilize that feature again. Many people have longed for a vast snowy place in GTA. It's well known for the sunny places, and snow was never really tried except for the Christmas DLC in GTAO and the LC mission in SA (And in RDR and Bully). I say give people what they want. GTA V was a big step in the right direction, but Rockstar hasn't really perfected the huge ass map yet. Sandy Shores felt more like a giant sand lot for instance. If you had two islands far apart (North and south islands) and the south one was the size, or a tad smaller, than the GTA V map, and the northern island was double the size of the GTA V map, you could justify both the sunny element and the snowy element, while having two very big cities with LOTS of water between the two islands. I know that the pace R* spits out games doesn't tell me that this will be the case for GTA 6, but I hope they go all the way for the next one.

 

Oh and while I understand the universes thing, I think they should give f*ck all about that, and just realize that they made some great characters on the 3D games. Bring them back 'cause it's simply stupid not to.

I think if we do get another island/continent/city we wont be able to fly ourselves, it will be a trip to the airport-->cut scene>load new map.

 

I honestly feel that this is the future in regards to GTAO, why go to all this trouble to create a online world only to abandon it when GTAVI becomes a thing, i think in future GTA's they will simply be added to the existing world and all connected via the airport.

I would use the island to grow my people from hell and then we would takeover the other island by sucking their brained out and then using them to grow more people from hell

If they did I'd want it to be north of the current one, add Las Venturas or something to give players a reason to travel across the map, won't happen though.
