Qutan
How do use the thumbs vote ? I give a thumbs up for a clean race with no unnecessary bumping and I'm happy with other players game play, unless its GTA style when I will normally always give a thumbs up unless its a badly created track . So for me a thumbs down is just a signal to race trolls and thumbs up that I'm happy with the race . So I often for example give thumbs down when I win this confuses some players . I'm not really bothered with other race options unless they don't suit the track its the race creators choice, then I vote with the exit button . How do you use the thumbs vote ? onoudint
When I'm racing with randoms I usually thumbs up everything just to keep the ball rolling and move on to the next race. If it was an idiotic ram-fest I'll thumbs down or no vote and quit out of the group. I like trying out different races solo, and that's where I properly rate them on how well or poorly constructed they are. KoBo_043
I give thumbs up if I like the track. If it has a nice/interesting racing line. No (almost) impossible jumps. That kinda stuff. Most ppl forget the thumbs up/down purpose is to rate the race for how it's MADE. I joined a playlist with some random guy once, who waited for me at every CP 'cause some of the jumps were quite dificult for me, so that was very nice of him. There were races with bmx, moto, super, caddy. I disliked the bmx ones (because i dislike bmx, NOT because I disliked how the race went down) and liked the others which were fun. I just hope the other guy understood that, because he was really nice for waiting and gicing me a shot at finishing instead of rushing ahead and let me DNF. If I like a track I always five a thumbs up. Even if I lose, or get smacked around by other players. Like anybody in the race gives a sh*t if you vote thumbsdown. They gonna ram you again anyway the next race. If you're in a group if bumpercar drivers, better find another group if you dislike it, or join a race-oriented crew. mo-seph
upvote well made creations or enjoyable rockstar jobs. downvote badly made creations or sh*tty rockstar jobs (theres quite a few)... No vote when its someones new creation thats being tested and they want feedback, its unfair to downvote a working progress, but its insincere to upvote it when it needs work, so i no-vote and explain my reasons why... I also always no-vote my own creations to get the most realistic view of my tracks based on votes. (total plays - thumbs up + thumbs down = no votes... the rest is obvious)

Up vote if the track is good. If you are rating based on the other drivers you are rating the wrong thing. Or because the OP turned on or off certain things for no reason... Il vote thumbs down.

If someones gonna make a bad race then turn on traffic.. catch up and slip stream and it just turns into a big demo derby with badly place check points. Thumbs down is comming.. I hate it when people must turn a nice race into a demo derby and crash into each other and race dirty. Thats why I prefer to race with non-contact on. I'll usually always win then. Usually the only reason I lose a contact race is because some idiot who knows he can't win or wants to be a dick has to purposely crash into you taking you out and himself in the process. I just vote thumbs up or down based on how much money I get and how much rp I get. You can't tell me I'm abusing it for everyone votes thumbs up or down for their own reason. I've just exposed your hypocrisy in your statement. You're welcome.

Your abusing the voting screen just as much as they're abusing the race settings Its hard to give a thumbs up to a race if you spend half the time dealing with bad drivers... traffic.. Traffic a niche option for races with a few racers and big enough streets.. Catch up when having races with everyone who has fully modded cars in a straight line... Gets a thumbs down.. Shut off the catch up. The problem sometimes is the host as much as their tracks.. I've been in alot of races.. I've seen alot of garbage... not to mention the garbage R* verifred like jumps jumps jumps... and Obstacle what.... Marios race... WTF is that... Id thumbs that down a million time if i could. Alot of people spend alot of time making amazing races that never get the true props they deserve... Let alont the race getting verified. When i host my races.. Its catch up OFF.. Traffic Off... Slip stream OFF.. Rain OFF. I will also slow down.. let players catch up or just take it slow. If racers don't try and ram me.. Il let them win. flipchuck
I was never told about the "real" reason for the voting system. I found out on my own, I get RP points for voting. So for awhile, I voted purly to get the extra RP. Now I also vote base on my gaming experience. Either with other players or the track itself. Most tracks and missions made by R* are very good anyway.
Man-Django
If it's a decent job it gets a thumbs up, if it's crap I leave too early to vote. If it stands out as being really good I may msg the creator and possibly add them to see their other jobs. Sometimes I feel that I'm the most active member of the creator community... then I remember I actually am! I myself make some good races.. But not alot. I try to only focus on a few so i can better polish it over time. Im very fussy...lol Everything needs to look perfect for me.. I not only test it over and over. but make sure it looks good too.. Be it day or night. Which to me sucks when i see MARIOS RACE get verified.. WHen its seems like the guy made it in a few minutes.. Here i am testing and polishing races for over year... bah.
