Have you ever been beaten by a low-level?

Rank/Level really doesn't mean anything in a video game. It's just a number/symbol next to your name.

The level shows how much health they have and what kinds of weapons and upgrades they have along with their expirience.

OT in 1 on 1 DMs, no, but last night I was only using a pistol against a level 4 who kept coming after me(all he seemed to have was a pistol) and he killed me 4 times and I only killed him 10. That kinda made me feel defeated when a level 4 killed me multiple times

Sure I have. Whether it was a seasoned player on a new account is unknown but yes. I have had players with low ranks beat me. I slept fine and still play the same. :)

Level gives some benefits but does not indicate skill. It gives you more durability, extra weapons, and improved stats. None of those things are needed to be good though. If someone is a good shot and knows how to use cover effectively they can be straight up lethal at very low levels. Health doesn't matter if you don't get hit. DLC weapons and quick accurate aiming will take people down fast.

My second account was straight up lethal and destroyed many with higher levels. Sniper battles were the only place I really was at a disadvantage so proper cover was vital as was not being hasty. If you can't get the kill shot don't expose yourself.

I was killed by low levels many times & there's no way for me to know if that was their 1st or 2nd character.

There are 2 classes of players: the warriors who kill other players & the peaceful who try to avoid it. The Warrior class is divided to 2 groups: the mainly deathmatchs/free roam warriors & the mainly contact missions warriors. The first group is the most deadly kind. They plan & execute an attack on another player very fast because they're used to dealing with real players. The second group is less deadly. they need at least a little bit more time to plan & execute an attack because they are used to dealing with NPCs who gives them a lot of time to plan their next step.

I belong to the second group so when I encounter someone from the first group he has better skills in the art of killing even if he has a much lower level. NPCs, unlike real players, are predictable. I can do contact missions for hours & die only once or twice but a real player with "street skills" can destroy me.

Lets not kid ourselves here. There certainly IS a correlation between rank and skill. Obviously there are exceptions to the rule. But by and large, higher rank players are more skilled then lower ranks.

I was trying to pick up a level 40 earlier and I was honking and parked. He took the chance to kill me and drive off. Low levels are dickheads.

Arrows to Athens

Mainly 100s and 200s. They tend to use a lot of explosives though and roll a lot in the open. The worse part is when they brag about owning you over the mic.

I was just given a 9-5 beating by a level 29 during a 6 man deathmatch. Although I eventually won the deathmatch, the guy was just sucking up my bullets and making me pay when we 1v1 on the street. I noticed he had a bulletptoof helmet for the first kill and that made me wear mine. Even body shots didn't seem to be doing much. In the end we skirted around each other and picked on the other players.

You come across these players from time to time. I enjoy the experience as it makes me a better player.

Bulletproof helmets are cheap and people who use them think they're top dog. In my eyes, it's cheating.

Rank is not based on skill, it's XP based on various activities.

My other character is rank 91

Deathmatch: Free-aim (never used it), I'm the highest rank, I will most likely end up with the lowest kills.

Vehicle Deathmatch with Lazers and Buzzards: I'm rubbish.

Races: Supercars/Sports, I will not the win the race.

Golf: Can have a bad session on a hole.

Darts: Currently not doing so bad, 9-1.

Parachuting: Can go either way, sometimes I win and sometimes I lose by missing the 15 point checkpoint or missing the checkpoint altogether.

1. Your character in your signature is wearing it.

2. As long as someone is using something that was put there by R* it's not cheating. God mode is cheating. Blowing up players anywhere on the map is cheating. A bulletproof helmets is not cheating + It only gives a little bit more protection.

Well I gotta wear one as well to even the playing field don't I? I'm pretty much forced to wear one. It takes about 9 head shots to kill one wearing it while it only takes 2-3 to kill one without it. It's certainly unfair.

Countless times, mostly by little kids who probably used their parents' money for shark cards to stock up on DLC weapons. Ugh.

Once again Rank is a very limited judgment on a players ability.

I probably have, I am not one of those that checks every players credentials. No time for that unless its a spur of the moment. But I am sure I am a low level killing higher ranks all the time.

LOL that's great.

Wearing head protection isn't unfair, it's smart. That's why people wear it in real life.

It's tough as sh*t to kill someone with a pistol when they have the helmet on.

You gotta use it if you want to stand a chance, it's ugly but it's there.

The bulletproof helmets are neither unfair, nor cheating. It was put into the game officially and made available to everyone who buys it.

It IS however kinda lame in my opinion lol. Whenever I happened to get killed by somebody wearing one, I toss mine right on and continue with the murdering. Whatever little "advantage" they hoped to have has now been leveled.

The thing is, you have to forget about all the other masks and hats just so you can wear a helmet. Wish you could wear a mask and a helmet at the same time. There will be pogos + helmets raiding Los Santos with Chrentornos.
