Have you ever been beaten by a low-level?

I'll probably be the first to admit here that i have been beaten by someone in gta online whom is a way lower level than me. He pretty much uses sawed-off shotgun all the time and uses stores as blockades, he even chooses the easy way out when i corner him in the top of a building, he even managed to destroy my personal vehicle without paying for it!

 

So tell me, have you've been beaten by a low-level before?, this is not a topic for laughs, it will be serious.

I understand, when you see someone new to the game as a challenge, you would think you can instantly beat 'em in a split second, but you actually see he has potential.

 

I guess low-levels count as good players too.

I'm sure at some point we have all been killed by someone with a much lower rank, but to have lost a 1v1 against them is kinda embarrassing (unless it's their second character).

Beaten at what? A free roam deathmatch? Never. Races? Sure plenty of time. Races are pretty equal opportunity. Anyone of any level has a chance to win.

For me, I think the most aggressive players are some of the low levels. I think I'm fairly rare in that I basically mind my own business and am constantly analyzing nearby situations. I look for the opportunity (whether it be to mug, to attack, troll, whatever) and then move on. I'm not going to sit and get into a giant pvp battle.

 

Occasionally, a lower level will get me. I'll admit it. The problem with having someone who is a lone wolf in the game like I am is that if a low level gets me, I have nothing else to do, I have no crew to have to hang with. If a low level pisses me off, I will spend a lot of time, effort and money to go after you. I've actually spent an hour just going after a low level who pissed me off. I'm far from the world's best player, but I'm completely devious.

 

I will just sit there and use every trick in the playbook. I will sit and watch at Alta on the tv, try to figure out a way to get the person into a fight with the cops (mugger, then they attacked the mugger) and get their car impounded. Will then go to impound, get Cargobob and Cargobob their car up to the construction site across the street of Alta, hide some stickies and prox mines and go back to my apartment to watch the festivities. I'll wait until they're in the clothing store, sticky their car, go off radar, put a bounty on them and when they race out to get in their car, BAM and I don't have to pay insurance.

 

I'll never go through the effort of a giant pvp battle, but I'll sit there and come up with some ridiculously over-complicated way of getting you or I'll just wait until you go AFK and mug you. Or I'll just upset you enough in passive that you wreck my car. Love when people go AFK by the apartment I'm in, it's like an ATM happened by. For me, the weird thing is that - I know how difficult it is to get money in this game and how desperate people are for money (see the video that someone posted on here where they got people to believe that there was a glitch that they'd get money if they replaced all their cars with elegies.) If I get $10K+ out of someone, either from mugging or they wreck my Adder, I consider that a win. If I can get $75-100K out of someone in a tank by repeatedly wrecking my Adder, that's an uber win.

 

Get in a tank? I adore just running my Adder into a tank again and again. I love when low levels think they're getting me and then you - without even hearing their voice - realize that I'm intentionally running my car into them. I had a low level in a tank a few days ago with a bounty finally just give up and get out of the tank and let me get the bounty, probably because I cost him so much money in comparison to the bounty.

lol that reminds me when I started my second character I got picked on by a bunch of level 60s who thought they were great because they were 50 levels higher than me.
little did the know I had 1000+ hours of experience already with my first character and handed out a good ass kickin

Level does not equal skill. Meaning, a level 100 could be worse at the game compared to a level 25.

Basically that. I don't think I've ever actually lost to one, but I had a level 15 fight me to a standstill, and it became quickly obvious that it was either a second account or some kind of GTA prodigy. He used every dirty trick in the book, and did whatever was necessary to avoid direct confrontation (which obviously would favor me as I had more health and better armor, plus every available weapon). Nobody has ever been that good at a game after the scant time it takes to get to that rank normally. After it descended to jet wars, with both of us trying to get one and also trying to prevent the other guy from getting into Zancudo, I decided to just join a mission with a friend and let it go. Sometimes you just realize that you and the brick wall can spend all day pounding each other, or one of you can go do something else.

If I was beaten by a low level, I don't remember. Probably in my new days, when everyone was low level. After that, I don't remember. I just got pistol killed by a low level once, but when I was going to get revenge an inbred tank user killed me lots of times.

If by "ever been beaten" you mean "ever been killed", then yeah. Plenty of times. They can never keep it up though for some reason, and always end up running away. Since being on PS4, my arch enemy has only killed me 3 times, if that says anything. Definitely been attacked by low levels though and sometimes they get the first kill.

depends.....im level 500 so of course people ranked higher then 120 but lower then like 300 beating me isnt realy rare

getting owned by one that doest have a minigun while i did...i dont think that ever happened

and before i had my minigun, i rather avoided any battle so memories of those times are not realy good

I've kept my alternate character low level for a log time now. I'm about the trot it out for some unsuspecting noob griefers. Especially with some advanced weapons now avaiable for low levels.

I had a really tough fight against a lev 57 yesterday (I'm lev 153). He killed me 4 times before accepting my one on one, and we somehow ended in a tie. Tho he did use "cheap" methods to land most of his kills (AKA many, many rockets) I still tip my hat off to him. He was an ass, he was annoying, but he still got me more often than I him.
