Red DEAD
Instead, we get the leftovers from GTA Online's Updates. Why can't we get the extra masks that are in GTA Online? No new clothes have been added to Single Player yet... Why can't we use a few of Lester's abilities when calling him up if you are playing as Franklin, Michael or Trevor? Not all of them but the abilities like... CarlitoDorito
Apart from the weapons, vehicles, parachutes, the interaction menu, the current gen stuff. It's a miracle it got any of that, compared to other games, how IV's SP wasn't completed a by a lot of people and I'm guessing V's wasn't either. Online is big, and unfortunately more people play it, a lot more. SP DLC is coming apparently, it'll most likely have all the bigger things, missions, new features. Then again it could be 5 missions or alien invasion stuff, let's hope not. When is something nobody knows. Osho
The biggest reason is no doubt - GTA Online! It saddens me when I see more and more players shifting focus towards ONLINE as there isn't interesting a lot about the SP of V like the odd jobs, missions, and features available for online world. I wouldn't really blame the players either for getting bored with SP too quickly rather Rockstar for dividing the fan base in two separate game worlds than any normal multiplayer would've worked as an optional entertainment with friends fully functional BUT built over the BASE game, without dividing the base features into separate games of their own entirely. So yeah, THE GARBAGE! sh*tTY! GTA ONLINE is the root cause. As there's currently a big emphasis on making the ONLINE gaming experience much better contrary to the roots of the series that made GTA SP so much fun!!!! f*ck u GTA:O!! Uncle Vlad
Because SP isn´t their main focus anymore. We have to deal with it. That´s just the way it is. Thinking about why is pointless. I stopped playing V, because I won´t touch Online. If the SP DLC comes, I will see how it is - if it seems to be good, I´ll return to V. Official General
We've been asking this question since the damn game came out a year and a half ago. I think Doctor Ray gave the best answer. We'll just have to resign ourselves to the fact that Rockstar will probably no longer view SP as GTA's main focus anymore. Which is a tragic shame, seeing as SP is what made GTA the legendary series it became in the first place. But it seems Rockstar have sold out to jump on the online MP badwagon that seems to be the rage of the industry these days, blindly ignoring the fact that a game like GTA will never realize it's full potential in online mode. I see you didn't explain how the sales and trailers have anything to do with the replay-ability or the quality of the SP many are objecting to and what could have been improved upon. And about - "You can't play the same singleplayer over and over" I say, "Shut up! Speak for yourself" The point is not why they have this ONLINE GTA but the manner in which they are focusing on it; unlike the normal multiplayer where there's no trade-off between the efforts that'll result in changes affecting the state of one mode of gaming experience negatively in favor of the other. Trevorphilipjfry
In all honesty V has been more supported than any other single player in recent years, and more so than IV, I know IV had the stellar EFLC by this time, but we're still to get the SP DL C, and we've already received a lot of free content. Tell me another single player which has had as much stuff added for free, or supported as much? Sussus Amongus

Sneakymist
Rockstar assumes that "the more the merrier". However, I play games for the immersion factor; to feel like I actually am part of this universe. When there's other players shooting at you with AK's, tanks, and fighter jets, that immersion really falls apart. By ignoring singleplayer, they are basically shunning away immersion players like myself. Kafonix, Funkadory, Strachan and 1 other
Real_Badgirl
As much as I loathe the fact, online multiplayer is the future. It highly appeals to the casual crowd, and casual gamers vastly outnumber those of us who require a decent story and set of characters with our games. I know people who have a permanent hard on for GTA:O, yet they haven't even touched single player. I'm calling it now: GTA VI will be a digital only game that can't be played unless you're online. Every mission will force co op on you.

Guest
God, you're all f*cking pathetic. You saw GTAV advertised, you saw it and bought it. You played it, and now that you're bored you expect R* to keep feeding you singleplayer content until you get bored of that. R* never said they'd support the singleplayer for years and years like you think you're all f*cking entitled to. Did they support GTA3? No. Did they support Vice City? No. Did they support San Andreas? You guessed it, no. And you all accuse the GTAO community of being whiney children. Pathetic.

The whiney children are the most mature segment of the GTA Online community. Just look at all the "kid trolling" videos on YouTube.
