Having some trouble with my garages

I own three properties, all full. Usually if I brought a car from garage A to garage B, I could pull up to the garage door and transfer a car of my choice from garage B to garage A. But now, whenever I pull up to a garage door to do the transfer, I get the message "a vehicle from this garage must be transferred to storage to store your current vehicle".

Does anyone know why this happens, and how to fix it?

Go ahead and do it, it basically transfers the vehicle you are replacing to the other garage. Not sure why they phrased it differently.

Are all your garages 10 car garages? All I could think of is maybe your transfering a car from a 10 car garage to something other than a 10 car garage.

Garage in Weazel Plaza is 10 car, my second in Paleto Bay a 6 car (with 10 cars in total), and my third garage is a 10 car by the airport.

 

I'm trying to switch a car from the airport garage in exchange for one at Weazel Plaza.

I was a little afraid I might lose a car, but went ahead and did this "storage" crap and it worked. Thanks a lot. And yeah I also can't figure out why they changed it.
