Jammsbro
We've all had trolls ruin missions and I see (almost daily) people ruining races and so on just to spoil other peoples games. But if heists are to be long term deals with players having to build up job points and rely on other people to complete the heists and pre-heist missions, what mechanisms, if any, do you think will be in place to combat this? Or what do you think might be able to stop people ruining heists? We all know there is a percentage of trolls that exists solely to make the game a worse place to play rather than a better one and I can't see them not intefering with heists. Fox Stevenson
Protip. When playing heists with randoms avoid being the lider. This way you won't be losing money if the heist fails because of a troll. Strix aluco

Jammsbro
I only operate in a small crew and sometimes we can't always be on at the same time (different parts of the world, jobs and kids) so it's not as easy as saying "be in a crew". I'm talking about actually measures to stop trolling and people ruining missions. Like sending video reports to R* and then banning that account for a period. Or something. Misanthrope Z
this is why it's best to be in a crew though R* obviously wont implement an anti-griefer mechanic, so you best find some competent players or suffer through a bunch of rambo wannabes that die within 2 minutes of the heist starting. CarimboHanky
i hope they add a "botched heist" stat... it would keep track of the amount of heist one have played and how many of them have been failed! im ready to ruin some already! Mr.Nedich
If you invite randoms whose skill you know nothing about, you deserve to fail that heist. Sort of like inviting randoms to Framing Frame and expecting to successfully full stealth it. Edited February 21, 2015 by Mr.Nedich
mrtommygunwhite
we could start a reptible player scheme if a mod sees this a list of players (on the forum somewhere) who are happy to not mess around and with enough complaints (ie boblikeswinter69 is messing around and is just a troll) they would be removed Strix aluco

JC Hammer
You can't do anything with randoms anymore, R* should just set them up so that you have to be friends or crew, they will be trolled if they dont

I'm sure R* is aware of that potential problem and will have some kind of punishment for them. Like leave them in BS forever. That's the way it should have been from the beginning. Elder Maxson
Maybe during certain parts of the heist, a character's actions may be limited for a certain area only. For example, there may be a part where gun usage is restricted like when you're inside the police station. That's to avoid the potential troll from "Rambo-ing" inside the building. Ghost XB
You cant stop trolls, but you can avoid them. Play heists with your friends (if you don't have any than I would start out by getting some friends) and crew mates (if your in a small crew, join a bigger one such as the GTAF crew). Van_Hellsing
You are supposed to be able to call Jeff to revive a killed crew member. Jeff is the one you get instructions from like in Mission Impossible. I guess you can restart by calling Jeff if you flunk the heist.

Hyperglide
This could be just another bullet point in a laundry list of reasons why Rockstar is taking so long to release Heists. Because they have to design a concept to keep trolls from ruining a heist. A lot of casuals or randoms don't even know about the kick feature during missions where people troll. Heists there is a lot more riding because people actually will have to put in some time and effort and the leader will have to front money. So, no one knows at this point cause we aren't R* but I'm sure they will implement some system to prevent team killers and griefers from ruining the experience. Like others said if you run a small crew you can't always be on all the time with your crew members. Par for the course.
FrugalDangerMan
I currently have about 10 people as friends that I trust in game. Getting 4 of them together at once is likely not an issue. Once heists are released, I'm sure some casuals you know will come back in for a time. You should be ok for a bit.

flipchuck
Crews and friends are the best way to get a good heist going. If it hasn't been done yet, maybe we could start a thread that list all the trolls to avoid, if possible. And maybe in the recuitment section on here, post threads asking for reliable players for a heist. Then, other people on here could contact you and you guys could plan it. Set a certain date and time for it. Since I don't have anyone on my crew yet and I have a hard time playing at the same time as my "online friends", I would like to try this. mattus85
I am expecting DDOS or general bugs to be as big an issue for the first week or two tbh Having said that I'd hope they'll start leveraging the job points as a way of limiting this once they get a sense of how much an issue it is. Is there like a crew board in game where peopl post their services for heists?

AceThaCreator
Why in the world would anyone do heists with some randoms? The solution to avoiding that trolling sh*t in heists is by making friends/joining crew(s) and you will profit.
