sebix98
I did some research and I found out that The Grove Street Family and The Varrios Los Aztecas are rivals, being involved in various types of crimes together. How can this be possible if CJ and Cesar Vialpando, most probably the gang's leader, are very good friends who completed a lot of missions together ? And in addition, Cesar is Kendl's boyfriend... lil weasel
It is possible for members/leaders to be personal friends, yet the organizations to be at odds with each other. puffy
Where'd you learn this? Since they don't even compete for territory, I don't see how they could be. Also seems like Sweet should've be a lot more concerned about Kendl seeing Caesar if that was the case? Alexander
^Sweet was really angry about it, but what could he do? Besides Kendl was right after all. IMO both Cesar and CJ knew that both gangs had their troubles, but they became friends anyway because Carl's sister. Son of Zeus
Yeah, in the mission 'Sweet and Kendl', Sweet is really angry when Kendl says she's going to meet Cesar. Also, in the mission 'Cesar Valpiando', Sweet tells CJ that Kendl's gone to meet 'some cholo motherf*cker'. He was referring to Cesar. puffy
Ah, now that y'all mention it, I guess he was. I always took that scene as portraying the usual black v. hispanic tension in 90s LA. Could have been either I guess. And don't forget they shoot at him too. If it weren't for those jerks I'd have loved the safehouse on Caeser's street. PhillBellic
It would have been good if the VLA didn't attack you at the end of the game. Jeansowaty 1 Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/768290-unexpected-rivalry/#findComment-1067010470 Share on other sites
