I blew up 2 cars today in gta online and was given the bad sports warning twice (of course).

Then 10 minutes later, I've been given the $2000 good sports reward.

What is this? i don't even...

Same happened to me, blew up 2 PV's at the same time and literally 5 seconds later I got $2k for good sport. My friend couldnt stop laughing about it.

I remember one time while on a killing spree against the cops. I was just about to end the killing spree when I got $2,000 reward for "Good Behavior."

 

Lets just say... I didn't stop.

The good sport reward (if I remember correctly) is set on a timer, and jeeps going as long as you don't go into bad sport or cheaters pool. I could be wrong though.

It's a running gag with GTAO, do something bad, and before you know it $2,000 is given to you. The good behavior and bad sport are two f*cked up systems, both should go.

It clearly says bad sport when you blow up personal cars. I think you're thinking what happens when you enter bad sport when you blow up nothing but personal vehicles continuously.

The $2000 reward is a random event that occurs in good sport lobbies.

I think you keep getting it until you are put in the bad sport lobby, but if you want to blow up cars and not worry about that, pour gas on the car and then use the flame from a backfire to light it and you won't get a higher bad sport rating or have to pay for it

Yeah, it happens to me all the time. I guess you will always get rewarded that $2000 unless you blow up enough cars to get you into bad sport.

It's always been that way. I got the $2k bonus immediatly after changing servers after i accidentally blew up a griefer's motorcycle while defending myself. He tried killing me as i spawned out of my garage. I sped down the street, jumped out of my car, and shot back. After i killed him, one of my bullets hit his gas tank.

 

I think the $2k good sport bonus is a timed bonus you get as long as you're classified a clean player. So blowing up one or 2 pv's is irrelevent to when you get the bonus as long as you're still a clean player. Ex: say the $2k bonus is every 2 in game days or 96 IRL minutes(i don't know if there is a set time). At 95 minutes and 30 seconds, you blow up a PV. As long as you're still a clean player, you get $2k 30 seconds later.

 

Incidentally, the $2k bonus is still awarded if you're in the cheater pool. A friend of mine got sent there last year for sharing a $1B bounty and he was still getting periodic bonuses.

Nope, it's far more than that...or its a combination of how many in relation to how long you've played...either way, I've blown up a ton and I'm not in there...

 

...and the claims of people who say they got put in there for blowing up a small number are liars

Story of my GTAO life lol. Happens to me all the time and I have NEVER been to bad sport.

 

Usually after I collect the $2000, I also pass go and collect an additional $200. You should try it as well.

I CONSTANTLY blow up personal vehicles. I have a few million left in the bank and rather than filling up another garage with cars,I use it solely to pay insurance premuims. That being said, i get the good sport reward all the time and have only been put in bad sport ONE time.

 

I wonder if you get WAY more bad sport points for quitting jobs than you do destroying PVs?

 

The time it happened i randomly joined a race that ended up being a playlist of player made HORRIBLE races. I bailed during like the 3rd race, dropped into freeroam, killed a dozen or so people and noticed my player status had gone from clean to dodgy. To which my friend and i joked "well its about damn time considering the horrible thing we do to people" Soon there after i found myself in bad sport for 2 days. Then i googled it and learned dodgy player was a warning b4 bad sport.

 

Since then i have blown up hundreds, possibly thousands of PVs and have not been bad sported. Personally i think bad sport lobbies are a TERRIBLE idea for anything other than CHEATERS. I mean, i pay 10-12 grand for every high end super car i destroy. Why should i get bad sport points for that? Im already paying for it.

 

And yet, i consistantly get that 2,000 for being a good sport. Go figure
