When I was making a rock radio station for the concepts thread, I came up with the name "97.7 The Wolf" and I was just about to use it. As it turns out, there is a radio station in Michigan called 97.7 The Wolf that plays rock music. I changed it afterwards due how weird that was.

My wife and I share the same initials, and her birthday is the same as my mothers'.

Oh okay, so I got a good one that happened yesterday. I was hanging at the park with this one friend while smoking some bud, he's homeless as well but way far off worse. He's a heavy druggie, you can see it everywhere on him. Well I was talking with him for a hour. But I felt the need to start heading off because I had plans with my other friend so I got up to say I had to leave but I was hesitant because I didn't want to make him feel unwanted so I stood there talking for a few minutes until my friend texted my phone so I used that as an excuse to say I had to get going now and I started to take a few steps away and the dude starts yelling outloud saying "He's acting odd, get out of here, I said get out of here, he's acting weird!" And he was shouting at some big dude skating up on from behind me where I was at. Now at first I thought he was yelling at me and just not looking at me and he was upset that I was leaving, like he was saying to go away because I was acting weird. But as I kept walking away the skater dude greeted the dude I was just hanging with and looked at me, I kept looking back I was walking forward. And I heard the skater dude say "so is that our next score?" Then I realized that the dude wasn't shouting at me, he was shouting at the skater dude trying to tell him to go away because I was acting weird getting up and leaving.

 

If it wasn't for that text at just the right time that dude would've rolled up on my ass. And what's weird is that my friend only texted me because his chair he was sitting on broke and he fell to the floor, then he texted me. I walked away just in time to know what was about to happen and to get away from it.

I've got a few:

 

Most of the people in my close family's names start with the letter A. My grandpa (Alfredo), grandma (Amélia), dad (Álvaro), mom (Ana), my late grandfather (António) and me (Afonso). This means my granddad, grandma, dad and I share the same initials (A.S.).

 

Another one is that a lot of people close to me were born on the 24th of some month. Me (June), my aunt (October) and around three other friends. Coincidentally, the 24th of June is also St. John's Day, and St John's night (starting on the night of the 23rd) is one of the biggest celebrations in Portugal, as well as a regional holiday.

 

To top it off, the Battle of São Mamede (the seminal event for the foundation of the Kingdom of Portugal), in which D. Afonso Henriques (my namesake, founder and first king of Portugal) defeated forces led by his mother, was fought on the 24th of June, 1128, exactly 869 years before I was born.

 

One more thing to add to this: D. Afonso Henriques was born on the 25th of June, which is just a day after my birthday. Looks like he and I would have gotten along really well!
