HEISTS - The End To GTA Online DLC

Once heists are dropped we have one last thing to look out for - The PC release and maybe a small content drop for single player. Then what? Heists were always supposed to take this long! Rockstar wanted to draw out online when they realised a pattern emerging. They saw that the more they teased, the more people prepared by buying cash cards and playing in anticipation. Now what? After heists they are done. One, two maybe three more updated for bug fixes and additional masks and cars... Its over.

Red Dead 3 Anyone?

"Small content drop for sp". You kidding me? After success of sp dlcs for GTA 4 it's obvious that they'll release big SP dlc for GTA 5

I will still play daily even if we had zero updates since launch.

It seems that we "old" players are the ones who really knows how to enjoy a game. The kids these days only want "trophies" and all that sh*t. People should think a bit more and use their imagination to have fun, not wait anxiously for new DLCs and stuff.

You couldn't find one of the millions of other Heists threads to post on ?

Thought not.

I wouldn't mind if they gave up on Online altogether after heists are released. If there is one thing Rockstar proved with GTA:O, it's that they don't know how to handle a massive multiplayer game. They should just go back to focusing on what made them a success to begin with; amazing singleplayer games that go above and beyond what their fans expect of them.

If they really do insist on developing and evolving this GTA:O project as a long term thing, then they need to give it its own team of developers who's sole job is to work on GTA:O and treat it as its own separate entity apart from the core GTA games.

I swear, if GTA: VI has some bs online component attached to it, I won't even bother. They need to release the next iteration of GTA: Online as its own separate game and let whatever studio that is working on VI do their thing without having to think about allocating time and money to make online fit into what is suppose to be a singleplayer experience.

Yup, exact same thread a few days ago.

Like I said then, it's extremely unlikely that they release the PC version then don't release any updates after. There will be a lot of PC players that haven't played the game yet, so giving them no DLC whatsoever after release of a new game is not going to happen - FACT. Source? Common sense.

I also doubt they will release DLC for the PC and then not bring it to consoles. Consoles are far more profitable than PC, so will always be the priority.

You seriously think GTAO doesn't already have its own team?! Also, what's so wrong with online? Plenty of people are enjoying it just fine.

I suppose you're one of those people that think black trousers looking a bit purple is a game breaking glitch and that R* should drop everything to fix it immediately.

So what if heists comes out? That doesn't mean it's the end of updates.

Edit: heist isn't in my keyboard dictionary.

there were never any DLC's for Sonic...

but your right, games dont NEED a constant flush of new content to be interesting... many games without DLC have high replayability... but alot of gamers these days come from the isntant gratification, netflix, youtube, facebook generation that need instant gratification and constant hand holding to enjoy something.

No, black trousers that look a bit purple is just annoying, not a game breaking glitch. Thanks for the awful assumption about my opinions that have nothing to do with this topic.

this.

i got gta iv in 2012 lol and loved every minute spent in it. Nothing new online no goals nothing. This notion that heists are "extending the longevity" of gta is ridiculous. If its simply extending the longevity for you take the disc out go down to gamestop and sell it and buy something else

I hope there is more DLC, but for you younguns, i'm gonna tell you a story of the first game I ever owned with "DLC" or as they called it back then "add on disks"

The Duel: Test Drive 2.

The_Duel_Test_Drive_II_cover.jpg

The basic game came with 2, yes TWO cars, the porsche 959 and Ferrari F40 and one 5 level scenery course. The game cost $40.

Test_Drive_II_Car_Disk-_Musclecars_-_199

There were 2 car addon disks, each $20

The supercars

test_drive_ii_-_super_cars_%5Bdatadisk%5

This disk included 5 cars

Corvette ZR1

Porsche 911 RUF twin turbo

Lotus Esprit

Ferrari Testarossa

Lamborghini Countach

The muscle cars

test_drive_ii_-_muscle_cars_%5Bdatadisk%

1969 Dodge Charger Daytona

1963 Corvette stringay

1968 Shelby GT500

1967 Pontiac GTO

1969 COPO ZL1 Camaro

Then there were 2 scenery add on disks, each containing a 5-7 level course and no new cars

California Challenge - Race from the redwood forests to the mexican border

Test_Drive_II_Scenery_Disk-_California_C

European Challenge - race through several european countries including the famous german autobahn

test_drive_2_scenery_european_challenge_

and there you have it. 12 cars, 3 different 5-7 level courses for $120. and that's $120 in 1989 dollars, $232.08 in 2014 dollars, or roughly 2/3 the cost of a whole xbox one console.

The end of DLC how?

There's no DLC yet. Only updates so far.

? What was all the content (DL"C") that came with those "updates" then? Non-content, that was un-downloadable? 😓

Bahahaha! 😂

LBC 😎

(Yay, 3rd hist thread to post in)

Now youre nitpicking. DLC usually denotes an optional addon. All cureent things were updates because you were required to dl them to play

Yeah but you're a fanboy though. You'd still defend the game even if it was just ET for the atrari2600 on a ps4 disc.

If ET was a millionaire assassin with supercars and military grade weapons then you are correct cupcake.
