I think you've jinxed it mate, since you said you could see where the thread was going three out of the next four votes were minus two for the Sabre!

 

I don't really get why one car isn't allowed to have a big lead, if it's the most popular car then let it win...the point of these games isn't to create a nail biting finish every time.

Games aren't meant to be close, no. Sometimes they are and that's all well and good but if the favourite is artificially held back then it could end up losing depending on the deciding vote.

 

I can understand the downvotes if you want car B to win and car A is in the lead, so you upvote B and downvote A. If you actually prefer car A then it seems a bit daft to downvote it just to create a photo finish. Just my opinion.

It seems like you're only bothered because it's the car you want to win that's being targeted; I'd be interested in seeing if you still feel the same when something else takes the lead.

Put it this way, with the artificial balancing the way it is, when the top five are established we may as well just give them two points each and say go.

 

Whereas if the favourite is allowed to lead, then the favourite car will win the game, which is the point after all. I like a close finish as much as the next man but it's a lot better when it happens naturally.

Can I just say, for the record, what I said was in humor. I wasn't being serious. The evidence of the scoring has shown preference from the beginning for at least two cars (two cars I have, so I'm at no great hurt if either of the two win). More over the game is being run in the manner it is being run as a matter of fairness to give everyone interested a chance to think and vote. As it stand this event (if you want to call it that) is far from over and truth is, for any posturing on my part, there are enough outsiders to come from behind (even the picador).

 

I'm sorry for any hurt, but please don't take my commentaries too seriously

That's not a game you're talking about, not this game anyways. That would be boring if everyone played the way you think it should be played. Not trying to start nothing with you either. This is an elimination game.

I know, I'm not trying to point fingers and accuse anyone of anything either. What I'm talking about would make determining the real favourite more efficient but yeah it would be more boring to be fair.
