Official Car Customization Advice Thread

So I realize it's not hear yet and obviously I don't have one. But I'm planning on getting a Casco and am already thinking ahead to how I'm going to paint it.

I usually like to paint my cars in colors that are representative of the IRL cars that inspired the GTA cars. The Casco looks like it is based on e Maserati 3500 GT.

I did a Google image search for Maserati 3500 GT colors, and naturally there was a fair amount of bright red ones. That's always a possibility. But it's also a bit of a cliche, and I already have a red Stinger GT that the Casco will be parked next to.

I also do the same. I've already ruled out the silver, not a big fan with the chrome accents. The dark red looks nice, but not as good as the blue or the bright red. Personally, I'm going with the blue.Cool. I do like the silver, but I'll have to see if any of the in-game colors come close. Silver is a hard color to do as a crew color, if anything it just looks grey.

 

There is probably a blue in LSC that comes close to this blue. I'm not sure about the red, though. As was said above, may have to do it as a crew color. Wine red is too dark, Cabernet red is probably too light. This red also appears to have a hint of brown to it.

Anyone else really rating the whole not putting the racing chassis on a sultan to avoid the white logo? I'll post a picture in a minute when I get online

just my opinion, but first thing is lose that roll cage and front bumper/splitter/intercooler/tow hook whatever you want to call it, unless you are wanting to go for a racer look. then if going race look add the hood, roof and spoiler. i say keep it clean.

As far as i know,on PS4/XBOXONE you can repaint it with the secondary color option

On PS4 the Voltic secondary color works fine. Just built one on saturday for an event. Supposed to look like an endurance race car.

personally i prefer the stock rims, but i think for custom rims the Uzer (Sport rims) style works very well imo. also in the same style the Carbon S Racer (Highend rims).

Supernova or Sunrise SUV wheels look somewhat like real A8 wheels, I would try one of those.

An official Maserati colour I pulled from paintref.com

I tried this color just now.

 

The crew editor didn't want to save that color, but I tricked it into saving using known techniques. But although in the crew editor, it looks like a rich, dark red, in the game it actually looks pale and washed out. Nothing like the paint sample on paintref.com.
