Someone starts a thread, someone complains about something, someone tries to illustrate the other side of that complaint, OG calls it bullsh*t and starts insulting people. How is this constructive? It's like how with V, a lot of people seem quite impressed, despite the flaws. Some can play it, have fun and be just as blown away as they were by IV, despite its flaws. V could have met or exceeded expectations for many people, IV may have let them down, who knows. Seems so incredibly hypocritical. We can't talk for everyone really, we'd have to have an incredibly big ego to thing many millions of people share our opinion. When I say "most love the game" I'm just guessing, going by opinions I've seen, and discussions I've had with people. Then again I'm guessing they're all dirty fanboys. Unless you mean the GTA forums, some YouTube comments and people on the rockstar newswire, then yeah, most agree V is sh*t. The other people, not on the forums, without need to express their opinions on the Internet, may think differently. Not all 12 year olds either amazingly. Ya IV defender you! (Not calling you that, I'm just guessing that's what people who don't like IV would call you) I'm more of a red dead fanboy, I won't take a word against it! Being one isn't bad, getting angry over people liking something you don't, bitching at them, is a bit dicky. To be honest, I'm going by what I've seen on here and from speaking with people I personally know. It's a snapshot, but it;s useful enough to me to draw my own conclusions. In my view, V failed because the mere suggestion of IV being better than it should never have been the case in the first place. Something has to be wrong if a significant (not a majority) of GTA fans are saying this, which in my opinion they are. But yeah I agree, don't take my words as fact, it's just what I personally reckon. No not all, I'm not really a IV defender, it's not my favorite GTA (VC is), and I still think SA is better than IV. I still feel that IV could have and should have been a much better game. However, I realized after playing it properly and discovering new things, that IV+EFLC was much better than I initially thought - not simply because I played them again, but because they actually had the relevant, important features that allowed me to really enjoy the gameplay in the way that I wanted to. It just took me a while to find it all out, that's all. Aye, fair enough actually. Still need to play EFLC, I wasn't a huge fan of IV but the DLC, especially BOGT looked pretty great. Its on my list... Lol maybe when rockstar releases the V DLC, I'll go buy EFLC. You must play EFLC, especially TBOGT - it's great bundle of fun, you'll really like it. There are also popular features not in IV that are seen in EFLC, like gambling, gang/drug wars, bigger nightclub scene, etc - it really filled the gaps and voids that IV missed, and made the whole IV saga feel much more complete. Don't waste time, get it now, you can buy all 3 games one disc (Complete Edition) for PS3 only. Whenever you say something positive about something somebody else doesn't like they call you a fanboy. On a GTA V forum saying you like the game is pretty much forbidden. Nah not true, you get called that when you make excuses for a hugely anticipated game not fully meeting it's expectations, and it's many flaws that clearly should never have been flaws in the first place, and then blindly defend the developers. Thinking about it. It's like people are trying to be the hipsters of video games.Wait until VI comes out and everyone will love V. This is woggleman's favorite piece of bullsh*t that he likes to peddle on here (even though i aint heard him say this in a while). Bro, nobody got time to be a hipster in video games, we just want a game to meet our expectations, have a bundle of fun and want to play it again.I can't see myself loving V, even if VI turns out be worse. I'd just conclude that they are both sh*t, but V would be slightly better, that's all. With all the many flaws I see in V right now, it's impossible for me to love this game anywhere down the line. They infect music, movies, food and everything else so why should gaming be immune. Just kidding sort of but while I do not have a crystal ball if people in general do a 180 once VI is released it would not surprise me one bit. I actually people complaining that IV's friend system isn't in V and it was almost universally despised a few years ago. People complained about the driving in IV the way people complain about V's cops but when R listens to the complainers they get raked over the coals. I just wonder where were all these people in 2009? I am not saying we should have a bunch of sympathy for a billion dollar company but how can they please the fans when the fans don't even seem to know what they want? It seems before the game was released most of these complainers psyched themselves up about all things THEY PERSONALLY were ready to do once they unboxed the game. Once they loaded everything up and got to finally play, NONE of what they PERSONALLY IMAGINED played out how they PERSONALLY EXPECTED it to. Wouldn't that be your own fault? If you thought it was going to be one way in YOUR OWN MIND and it wasn't, who's fault is that? How can you complain about something not meeting YOUR expectations? R* doesn't know you personally, so sorry if they didn't PERSONALLY do something for YOU. In all actuality, the NPCs in V are in fact the most intelligent and advanced peds in the GTA series, although not perfect. Ever think maybe R* met their own expectations and this actually how Californians act IRL. By no means is it perfect, I have complaints as well, but it's not as bad as some of you are making it. Honestly if your complaining about the amount of dialouge that the peds speak or how you can't do things with them, you've lost already. Now if your complaining that the NPC's do not posses the level of ped-on-ped interaction seen in Trailer 1, then you may have a point. At the time, Trailer 1 depicted NPC intelligence not seen before on LG hardware and did not deliver on release (for whatever reason) and that's something legitimate to complain about. Basically, I agree with OP somewhat. The Police don't arrest anyone, peds are paranoid brick walls and nobody does any crime, but at the same time peds NOW have full convos, no more 'repeat' NPCs, more animations, peds recognize your clothes and cars, peds have 'routines', peds no longer switch lanes/merge like old Asian women, NPCs help the wounded (cops and gang members), peds shoot sitting down, etc etc etc The real complaint is why certain NPC features were taken OUT. but that's another story... Totallycasual Posted February 26, 2015 Share Posted February 26, 2015 I love the pedestrians, i like walking through the city and listening to the occasional phone call/conversation for giggles (you hear some strange sh*t sometimes lol) but you're not supposed to be able to stand beside/interact with the same person for a long time without getting repetitive behaviors/conversations. Think of them as extra's in a Hollywood blockbuster film, we're the main characters and the pedestrians are just extra's milling about so the world looks alive. Well, a lot of us knew that not to be true, not even Michaels family lives their own lives. Try tailing any of them and you will see. The other day Tracy (Michaels daughter) yelled that Jimmy needs his own car and then she got into her Weenie, I managed to get in at the same time and she was pretty much just driving around the block until I got tired. I tailed Amanda once, same there. Same for Jimmy. I dont think its even possible to meet Amanda, Jimmy or Tracy randomly in the city. Well thats because they become like anyother npc after their little "scripted moment" dont expect them to do anything after they leave Michael's house because theyll just do the samething aslong as possible same with cops theyll kill somebody and just drive away like nothing happened Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Again, you're not speaking for everyone, and yet seem to speak as though you do. You speak for the bitter minority and you will not stop. Honest question time: Do you think by repeating the same sh*t every day you will eventually convince those of us that like it that it's actually not as good as we thought and that we somehow didn't get the game until you came along with your enlightening analysis and constructive criticisms, or do you just genuinely have a belligerent stubborn streak that won't let you let it go and focus on something else? I really think it's kind of unhealthy to still be labouring the same points and reinforcing your own disappointment. And I'm saying that to all of the serial complainants on here - do you really get anything out of coming back daily to say the same things over and over? It's almost as if whoever programmed your AI had no idea what they were doing. The peds on GTAF are way more boring than the ones in the game - at least they say a few different things.
